| Quote Penks81="Penks81"We're not that far off from getting it right, yeah I agree the Grand Final horse has bolted due to our poor star. But a spot in the super 8s and a good run un the CC won't be that bad. To win away at hull tonight was a little optimistic!'"
Really? Because it looked like we had them rattled after our second score but managed to take our foot off the proverbial throat.

| Patton nowhere near good enough and wasn't good enough last season. Far too ponderous in leg and head. Makes me chuckle how we used to berate the likes of rocky turner and even he would knock this lot into a cocked hat....and thats not nostalgia talking. Woeful basic skills on show

| Game too far tonight after recently jamming it. Could have been different had we got the first try (or any try) in 2nd half! After weeks of shuffling, it's going to be same again for next couple weeks so anything in next couple games will be a plus.

Last twenty minutes of the first half we gradually got on top, not coincidentally because we got a reasonable share of posession. Started the second half brilliantly with Philbin's break. If we had scored then I think it would have been a different game. What followed was Sneyd's excellent kicking game depriving us of posession again for, more-or-less, the last 30 minutes.

| Quote rubber duckie="rubber duckie"I think we bought the wrong Widnes back.
What we need here is a back that wants to run forward and attack the line like Nat Wood would do...we ought to had signed Mellor.'"
Patton attacks the line and takes the ball closer to the line before shifting it , more than ant other player in the team.
A half back need runners, forwards steaming in on an angle. Instead he has Cooper and Jack Hughes wondering round doing sod all.

| I only managed to see the 2nd half but Hull were on the front foot for most of the half & deserved the win. As mentioned previously,Sneyd kicked us to death ,Kelly did the string pulling & Hull's orchestrated attack did the rest assisted, in no small part by supporting the ball carrier. I don't think the pass for the interception could have been more telegraphed by western union though. I thought Cooper was running better & making more yards when we got the ball & Hill & Philbin went well.

| Happy now flying biscuit?
Call me a happy clapper or whatever insult you want to sling at people who have a different opinion to your own, I am sick and tired of key board warriors who seem to be trying to outdo each other with their unhappiness. Tell us all please, if you feel so upset at what is happening what are you really doing about it, rather than writing on this website? Have you actually made your feelings known directly to the club, written a letter, set up a meeting with someone with responsibility ith the club? Have you offered any positive solutions to the problems you believe exist? If so, please share your feedback, we would all be interested. I am disappointed with the teams performance and have been for some time, however, having been in business for many years I know that things don't always go the way you want, especially when your principal asset are people. I know this won't change the persistent doubters but if you really feel as strongly as you do, show how brave you are, contact the club directly and ask for a meeting to discuss your concerns. They may or may not accept, but at least you are trying to do something positive.

| With respect, is it no longer acceptable to criticise our rugby team on the leading independent RL forum without first taking best endeavours to contact the club with suggested remedy first? If you do not like dissent or anything contrary to the view that all is peaches, then perhaps you can try the Warrington Wolves facebook page. If it's certain posters you do not like you can block them so you never see their posts ever again.
As for positive action to register discontent, not going to the game and watching on TV seems to be the way forward.

Oh come on, there are approx 70 pages which must be hundreds of posts whinging about Smith, the team etc. By all means have your view but if you are not prepared to do something Positive about it, it just comes across as moaning for moaning sake. There appears to be a race to the bottom now on criticism. If you feel so strongly as you and others do, get together and set up a meeting with the club. I am sure they would listen to you. Who knows you may also learn something...you not going to a match will not even register. Try something positive, it could be enlightening.

| I suppose the frustrating thing is to reflect upon this post from the Broncos match, and try to understand how/why things are now so different, just a few weeks on from that great night:
"Re: Tonight's game v Broncos
Bit late - but congratulations on a fantastic win; a tactical masterclass from Tony Smith, and outstanding execution from your lads. Clearly the strategy of pinning the Broncos in their own half and stifling their reliance on a very structured exit set paid off - and Wire's willingness to a) bash them in the forwards and b) play a very expansive, open game - did, as Thaiday put it, rattle their cages. Lovely stuff - one of the most entertaining games I've watched in a long while.
Brown obviously had a blinder, but for me, Gidley gave one of the best individual performances of the weekend - he's pure class."
