| I can't believe this is even a conversation!
The SL final is surely more important than the CC (although I do wish that the cup was treated a little better)
Look at the teams who have got to the final, you would never see teams who finish in the bottom half of the table reach the GF (something which was possible with a top 8 playoff)
The players clearly feel so as well, you will rarely see teams bottle a CC game because they can't take the pressure but it happens at least once every year in the playoffs

| I prefer Wembley, Old Trafford is a dump cattle get better treated at the abbatoir, your lucky if you can actually sit on your seat and the concourses are a joke. Anyway the draw for the semi is after the Wigan game on saturday.

| Much as I prefer Wembley I think the history books will show the GF as more meaningful. Certainly want to get that particular monkey off our back.

You'd soon get fed up of Old Trafford and yearn for a day out at Wembley? In addition the proposition this year is that if we beat Widnes we are a game away from Wembley and the semis could be three from the current top four so is there a real benefit to being out of the cup? We aren't talking of losing round 1 'so that we can concentrate on the league' type option

| wembley for me..it would be nice to be called champions but isnt that what you call a team who win the league not someone who finishes 5th and wins a comp at the end of the season..ive explained this senario to a few at work who have no interest in the super league..they reckon its bonkers

Totally agree with you, but the problem we have is the morons that come on here from other boards say that we only say it because we haven't won it yet. I DONT CARE, Wembley all day long for me as I said earlier.

I've already got a cart and an appointment at the funny farm. They were very interested in taking you early on the back of repetitiveness.

| As a Hull fan, with our Wembley record, I'd take a CC win any day, but I understand the logic of you guys wanting the GF more and for what its worth, I think you will beat Wigan in the play off final. Your team, when firing, is virtually unplayable, but as always, injuries are crucial and Sandow and Gidley need to remain healthy for you.
I think on form, Wire are the best team I've watched this year, I don't buy all the guff from Wigan and Leeds stating that the standard has dropped, hence their lack of dominance, I think that the salary cap is now working , apart from in France and a closer competition at least keeps everyone interested. Good luck guys.

| I love the idea that the Grand Final is the Mickey Mouse Cup but the Challenge Cup is something proper. To win the Grand Final you need to position yourself well in the league and then win two very high pressure games. To win the Challenge Cup you need to win four games, one of which is often against a lower league team. So, in effect three high pressure games. Two different competitions which bring their own prestige. However, to be called champions you need to perform over the season and that is why the Grand Final is the pinnacle of the sport. This season of all seasons not doing well in the league ladder will really hurt teams - look at St Helens. They won't win it from 5th.
