What I'm trying to say,, if wire are e this season because of 3 player, Roy, England GOB,,, really, all 3 of them were regulars when we went 10 games straight on bounce last year,, the problem of this season is a lot deeper,, not just a poor season by 3 players,,,,

Last season they were passengers in a period where Micky Monaghan hit a purple patch and higham was also brilliant.

None of those 3 players contributed anything to that winning 10 game run... which had bridge and ratchford at 6 and 7 for most of (of god what have i done).

The point is GOB and England and ESPECIALLY asotasi offer absolutely nothing to this side..... you cant point at a purple patch in a season when we won absolutely NOTHING and say they are good enough for us.

none of those 3 are.

Dwyer has been great since coming back but today absolutely everything he did with the ball went wrong.

Doesn't make him a bad player though and the same could be said of many others.

agreed and when you add wheeler atkins and snail paced joel to those 3 you now know why we play average rugby and sit 6th in the league..

Your missing the point,, 3 players not good enough to play SL, is not the reason for poor inconsistent results, and looking clueless at times,, asotasi is going, england will prob go to cas and rejoin daryl Powell ,, GOB, will move on, and we will get our wish, but it will take a lot longer than the disappearance of those 3 till we win silverware,,

im not missing the point... im well aware that its not those 3 players that are the problem.

its Smith, his poor recruitment and his apparent lack of ability to coach us.

its ok though, as we won a few challenge cups a few years ago... apparently

BUT.. im willing to give him another season to see how it pans out.... if 8 games into next season we are still looking like a team struggling to get into the top 4 he has to walk.

Is Asotasi definitely not here next year? I wouldn't bet on that.

NO.... the club hasn't said he is leaving... which is very worrying.

If Smith gives him another contact he should be sacked for gross misconduct.

One player who I don't think has been mentioned in this thread and contributed to today's defeat,albeit by being unavailable, is Westwood. He is not quite deadwood yet, but it's clear his powers are on the wane and his indiscipline is becoming a liability.
I can't make my mind up whether he is worth a starting spot anymore.

With the poor depth of our pack, Westwood will always start for me.
I'd even play him at prop before Asotasi (who has just made the Bunnies team prop of the decade)! And England.
