disappointed to see tom go, on his day he can be fantastic, yet on another day he can have a shocker defense wise

unlike a deluded chairman of another club ours has seen sense and allowed tom to join your team for a sensible fee, no point keeping a player if he wants away


thankfully we do seem to keep bringing wingers through, callum lancaster is no slouch and we also have curtis naughton too (although he never came through our academy ranks)

The fee is more then reasonable, don't forget he has not had an international cap and is not coming as a complete player. His defence is not the best and sometimes is really bad. We do concede tries on his wing a hell of a lot. That said give him half a chance and he will score.

We have more then enough cover in a position which is probably the easiest to coach on a rugby field. Throw into the mix he has had two bad leg injuries it is a very reasonable fee.

Great signing but still needs a lot of work and I would be surprised if he stays on the wing throughout his career.

It's not always the wingers fault, centre goes missing ( Atkins ) or second rower so winger is left stranded.

I don't really know what to make of this signing.
I'd have thought wingers were possibly the last position we needed to strengthen given that we've got Monaghan, Penny, Ormsby, Russell, Evans.

From what I've seen Lineham is a good strong player but defence is suspect and £140k is a lot.

He's not my top British winger, but then again the 'top' ones are fairly well fixed at some of our competitors who wouldn't sell for that sort of money.
Agar influence undoubtedly here. I hope it works out.

Top signing, TS must read my mind, first Daryl Clark(will come good and all the wire doubters, the same fans who don`t rate Currie(only 20), and the same who wanted King and M.Monas to go home can have a humble pie eating contest) now Tom Lineham. Big(17st+), strong, fast, good hands, and good in the air best young winger in the game by far. Before anyone rants on about defence(name a good defensive winger) you can work on that, getting a regular centre defensive patterns will come. Wire have brought in the current man of steel, young player of the year this season, and the current SL top try scorer for next season, both only 22. "the future is primrose and blue"
