| Quote the flying biscuit="the flying biscuit"Is that right ... so you sat motionless at Wembley when Myler set up the opening try for joel with a break up the middle of the park, followed by a look up and an inch perfect kick while running at full tilt.
I thought it was a special piece of skill......I wonder what lee Briers was winning when he was the same age as Myler....
I think at 24 lee was in a relegation battle and was completely outshone by a winger turned halfback who got himself nominated for man of steel...
Just saying.....'"
That was a sensational try. Great vision.

I think you'll find Brett Hodgeson was running along side Myler pointing left and screaming 'Kick it' you'll also find Joel had to run arms outstreched in order to catch it. So his vision? No. Inch perfect kick? No.
Just saying...

| Myler has more to his game than most people give him credit for. His kicking game isn't great but he does have good vision and pace and does have some creativity. I just think this last season he had a great deal of pressure on him after Briers' retirement and that, coupled with injuries and trying too hard, have probably left him short of confidence. He's got no lack of bottle and has kept trying things even when they haven't coe off. I'm not saying he's the best halfback in the league, but I'd like to see Myler stay with us and prove the doubters wrong

Post like this make me embarrassed at times. The skill level for that try was exceptional.
Ask Myler to control a team around the park and he'll struggle, have an organised half back with him and he's a 20 try a season support player... Danny Maguire is no better than Myler but he's been lucky enough to play with Sinfield as a pivot.

| Yeah, and every time McGuire has to play on his own he's found out. The point is that we all know that Myler can score trys and that's great but he is the senior halfback and 1st choice scrum half. He should be creating the chances not waiting for others to do so.
The skI'll level waexceptional? Hodgeson told him where to kick it and he did. Would he have done that off the top of his own head? Doubt it.

So, in your World, the fact that someone shouted to him to do the kick has greater importance than the ability to execute the play.
Okay........

well its good Job Myler ignored Hodgeson (sp ) and his point to the left and kicked to his right and found the right winger who scored.
I once shouted to Jonathan Davies to "dummy and go on your Own".... he did....shame I had to shout that to him though.....poor skill really poor....

I'm going to ignore the second paragraph as your logic is warped.
But that's exactly the point it was making about Myler and Maguire. They both bring something to the team but need an organising half back.
That's up to the coaching staff to sort.

| Seems strange we went on an unbeaten run with myler out of the halves. First through injury and the game where he came on off the bench.

Who is it you support again? Your last three posts on this thread have been so bad that they're embarrassing.

I remember us having an unbeaten run once when Briers got injured and was out of the halves. He was therefore rubbish. I also remember us winning loads of games with Myler playing in the halves so he must be great.
