If he does sign, then although not guaranteed, it does seem likely that he did say the truth and what helps to prove what I said about Hock coming really wasn't made up.

Hock for 2015?
Our pack would definitely not be lacking mongrel with Simms, Westwood and Hock.
Throw in the likes of asotasi, grix, England, hill, Harrison, laithwaite, currie and Evans and that's got the makings of a great pack.

Who better to invite out on a Mad Monday, than a madman ?
Seriously though, Hock is well past his prime and is in old man territory. Add to that his unpredictability and gifting of penalties, and he doesn't really look to be a worthwhile punt. The only thing I have seen him do this season is take out the linesman, yes I know we shouldn't condone that sort of thing, but it was very funny. |

Hock has got 3 or 4 years on Westwood and he's got a another deal!

He also doesn't have as many miles on the clock due to his numerous stints out if the game.

Hock has undoubtably lost some physical ability, but he is still one of the finest backrowers I've seen in many a year with the loss in attribute.
Unfortunately unlike other players, he's been unable to develop his mental attribute to offset his physical decline.
I'd have him on a basic one year rolling contract with win and conduct conditions for bonus in place.

It's a NO from me, apart from sending out the wrong message IMO, the jury has always been out as far as I'm concerned on the pro's and con's of Hock in your team even when he was in his prime and he's not getting any better

Smith IS the man for nurturing the best out of, let's say, ill-disciplined players. If Smith mentors him and Hock decides he wants to end his career on a high, winning things (hopefully) and utilising the obvious talents he has then that's got to be a good thing for him and us. I'm not his biggest fan, he's thick as mince, but i'd love a fully focussed Hock and all his grunt and talent in our pack. With Monas leaving i do worry about our lack of on-field brains next season though.
