| Quote: poppys mum "Financially we are stable at the moment.
6/7 months back we were very close to administration, we had to find money FAST.
We sold our major asset to warrington.
Imo it was done in haste, but done to save the club.
....and yes you will have the best hooker in the game come next season. Unless we find money to pay you back what you bought daz for.
To me its a right mess. Enjoy him he's a right gem.'"
I've just re-read this. It says. 'We were in trouble, so we sold our best asset to another Club. Because of that we're now stable, so we want to keep him. However we're stable because we sold him and if we want to get him back we don't currently have the money to do it.'
Which all means that you've completely made up the whole story. If he's signed for Wire I'll believe it when I see it.

| I really wish it was a made up story.
The more accurate connections of mine suggest last year you paid £170k for him, which saved the club and against his will. He would leave, once he heard you were interested. He placed a transfer request in to avoid having to go somewhere he didn't want. Aka. Salford.
The other story, which I've not had confirmed by anyone connected, is you paid a £30k fee to have first refusal on him and that no deal has actually been signed, and the club will refund the 30k + a bit extra to keep him (I think that's wishful thinking. 30k wouldn't have saved a club from Admin I wouldn't have thought)
I do however know for a fact, Daz doesn't want to leave. He loves the club and never wanted out, but early last season it was Chase or him. We held out on Chase as long as possible. But if he comes. His heart will stay with us!
He is however the best hooker in the league at the minute. And will continue to get better!

| If anyone has twitter, go onto Ben Cockayne's profile. After when Darryl Clarke scored the last try of the game v wakey, Cockayne hinted that we've signed a gooden for next year.

Even better, go to the Superleague site and check out his stats for this year. Top tackler, best average gain, high level of tackle busts and clean breaks and third highest try scorer for Cas. Hope he is joining us next year!

I didn't hear it (being at the game) but I'm told Nobby said something along the lines of ... 'very strong rumours that Daryl Clark will be at Warrington next year'.

| Nobby probably knows for sure. My guess is Koukash already asked the question but got told sorry he's sold.

| Really like Cas and their fans but it seems everyone who leaves their club does so against their will. We were told that Chase loved the quiet Cas Vegas lifestyle and he would never leave he loved the club that much.
Now same with Clark. We've signed him but only against his will. And he only put a transfer request in to *prevent* other clubs from buying him. Do you realise how ridiculous that sounds?
Anyway hope whichever way around it is that we have signed him.

| Id love to sign him but until something official has been announced i'm not going to get my hopes up. I feel this is Monaghans last year, especially after all the recent reports about his welfare, but id feel Micky Higham may have another good year left in him and Dwyer had recently signed a new contract already leaving us with two hookers next year. Could mean either we rotate the three or one of Clarke or Dwyer spends a lot of time on loan/dual reg next year.

I'm with you on the see it when I believe it brigade, but, my hopes are already up.
Given the current form of Clark and Monaghan's apparent situation with Old Father Time/injuries you'd have to think that if true, next year it would be Clark/Higham on the team sheet and Dwyer having the loan/DR spot with a view to pushing on the year after?

In Clark's case didn't he play for Cas Lock Lane as a junior which means he probably is a Cas lad, was a Cas fan and his family are all Cas fans.
Now Cas have been also rans for ages but they are suddenly good.
So maybe he is less enthusiastic about joining a team that is on the slide.

| /\ Exactly.
At the time of leaving/ the deal was apparently been done, It was either him or Chase and we were trying to keep Chase.
If he goes. He'll go with our best wishes, But we really hope he stays.

Your information differs to mine. I was told that to raise the necessary money and reorganise the Board, " Chase would be first out of the door to be shortly followed by Clark". So I think this deal was done a long, long time ago. In fact I think Clark was a Warrington player (as on our books) before the season started.
