Not sure I'd actually fancy living in a house on the site of Wilderspool to be honest.

If you were situated on the old Fletcher street terrace I'd be very dubious about the state of the ground given that several thousand males used to urinate on your new homes foundations every week. And if you were located on the site of the Touchdown club, well frankly after some of the player of the year do's I "recall" you'd dig up all kinds of stuff in your back lawn whilst planting your begonias.

Who currently owns the ground, is it the club or the council?

Also, does anyone know how has day to day running of it?

The council bought if for £1m off the club to curb the debt and leased it back for not very much I think.

Seven of us going. Real mixed bag. Two who regularly visited to support the boys (one of whom was usually with the emcee), One who occasionally visited and Three who have never been before. A mixture of emotions!

I presume only The Brian Bevan Stand will be open?

The way we're playing at the moment is reminiscent of some of the Wilderspool era. the players seem to be taking this Heritage month seriously...

Gutted I can't be there on 15th for the final game. I did go to one of the U19 games last season. I took my 3 yr old who was a but restless sat up in the main stand, so we went down and ended up wandering along the paddock terrace towards the scoreboard before getting called back by a steward...

However I notice on the heritage website that there is 'Farewell Wilderspool Event, details tbc' . anyone know anything more at this stage? Hopefully this will be a chance to get on the pitch, snaffle some turf, and unscrew a faded yellow seat, grab a crash barrier etc...

That's a shame, would have been nice to catch up!
