| I am talking about this season so far. Does not offer enough in such a key role.
You cannot blame one player or even one incident for a loss though.

| I think he is a good player more so in defence than in attack but he is playing without the ball so it is hard to criticise but for what we have payed i would expect a little more give him a go at 9 in the cup against keighley it might allow him to be more expressive

| Lefty I agree with you, Ive doubted Myler sometimes but he is for the future, its just where is his future, 7 or 9?
Think Burrow shows the skill coming on at hooker, and I think Myler could do that for us

Now if people blame the loss on him that's a different matter and i'm with you on that.'"
I concur, Yed.
Not much cop from him tonight, but, as I say, if we can't keep hold of the ball, early on in our sets, what chance has he got to stamp any influence in the game....hence my disbelief in ANOTHER Myler thread.
As I said before, we have another scapegoat.
Jon Clarke is dead. Long live Richie Myler (for some).

| Myler has shown nothing this year to indicate he is the future. His decision making at 7 is awful. Poor rugby choices from a key position is not acceptable.

| Quote: MikeyWire "Wood,Carvell and Moz just haven't got going this year...Chris Hill is doing the bizz....Players like Myler need more from the forwards and its not happening so far..'"
- Wood used to be a grafter who became special when he could offload sensibly in the last 2 years. Now he does neither effectively, he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer admittedly but he has had too many brain farts this season.
- Morley (legend) is no longer feared by the opposition. Ergo we are without an "enforcer". A season too long i fear he is spent. His Hansen hit was the last I remember. In fact when did a last Wire forward crucify an opposition player in defence?
- Carvell was brilliant last year, SL best forward, and poor this. Don't know what is wrong.
- Waterhouse could not make up for Superben who we missed dearly. Biggest player on the field who lacks impact. A caae of a 30+?
- Hill did all the things a hard working forward should and makes the 17 for me each week.
Pack is far too light. Miss Harrison greatly in muscle games and Solomona (for impact)
Backs I would say are the same as last year. ie) I don't think we are missing King.

Congratulations Richie. You've now become Warrington's new official Scapegoat. You poor lad.
I hope some of you "supporters" are proud of yourselves.
Some of the 5hite posted on this thread is unbelievable. I'm no huge fan of Myler, but this is really something else.
What more could the LAD do. He's playing in a side that is LITERALLY throwing the ball everywhere, but to a team mates hands. How is he he supposed to distribute the ball, when, in the early plays of a set of six (remember them), our team's forwards seem to want to get rid of the ball, quicker than a dose of the clap. THE FORWARDS ARE CONSTANTLY LETTING THE TEAM DOWN. A set of six! We can't manage a set of 3, even before we let our halves put their influence on the game.
Yes, Myler has yet to CONSISTANTY show his £200k transfer fee, but he's hardly been poor, has he.In fact, on the whole, he's been bloody good.
Some of you lot just HAVE to have a scapegoat, dont you.
Win as a team, lose as a team.
@@@@ me, if this was warfare, I wouldn't want a good few of you backstabbers in the same trench as me.'"
Completely agree!

absolutely correct I saw more in O'brien in two games than I have done in two seasons of Myler. ( I have always said i'm not a fan)
Myler is not a weak link in defence at all but he offers nothing in atttack and When Hodgson stinks like dog pooh as he did tonight we cannot afford a passenger at Number 7.
that said its my first post on the most inept Wire performance in at least fifteen years and we were only beaten by 8 points So i'm not too bothered now. yes it hurts to be bum banged by a team outside the top eight but we can only get better.
I fear Widnes may cop a bit of a hiding

| Lefty, nobody from what ive read has blamed Richie Myler for our defeat tonight. People arem just commenting on the obvious which is how ineffective he is especially in a lot of our big games, he's no longer a rookie, he has plenty of SL experience now both with Salford and us so you would have expected a bit more by now than just being a support player when things are going well for the team.
He needs to step up when its obvious that both Lee Briers and Michael Monaghan are off there games, he can't just stand back in the line and hope someone else will do it, he needs to be taking the line on and asking questions a lot more than he does.
Judging by your post on the other page you must be either of 3 people
1. Richie Myler himself
2. His Blue Peter girlfriend
3. His mum

Getting tired of this Jon Clarke was poor/average - get used to it. You make him sound like a Roby. He would never ever get in a serious SL competing side other than virtue of Cullens fecked up 4 year contract so he saw out his tail end with Wire. Smith chose Higham over him. Period.

Westwood on Lovegrove last season?
Westwood seems to be the guy who like to hurt the oppo, not necessarily with big hits though.

In fact how many players did Smith not extend? Clarke was one.

Westwood likes to hurt and has the ability. Where else is it coming from? Our pack are not as I'd like them to be in that way. I can't see where the next monster hit / taken off field is coming from. Maybe (at 40) I'm old fashioned.

| Some players are playing on past reputations and not enough under performers are being made an example off and given a week off to think about their game.
Carvell is garbage at the moment.
