Absolutely Lefty, Fray Bentos and Vesta currys are also on my (70's) shopping list.
Just pulling on the platforms now.

I have a good few beers on a Sunday match day and still get up ok for work on Monday..
Even though i would be able to attend every game should they be changed to Friday night i wouldn't swop it for Sunday afternoon games..
As it stands i work one weekend in five which means i miss the odd game, but for me Sunday is R.L. day...
Few beers..The game..Couple of beers after and then home for Sunday dinner...
Without Wire on Sunday theres only countryfile....!

Let me get this right; this bloke has to put up with the monotony of watching Salford weekly, yet your bods are picking up the tab for some decent entertainment.
Can you forward me his details? I need to get on this blag.

I was talked into going the Salford/Crusaders game a couple of weeks ago by a mate of mine. He's a big Saldord fan. He's also an alcoholic. Which makes sense.
As for me, I was cold, bored, went to get a beer and they'd ran out at half time - must have been the demand of those thousands of supporters in the ground. I also went for a slash in some portakabin toilet which kinda resembled the 'worst toilet in scotland' from Trainspotting. Upon entry, potential ar$e rape was at the forefront of my concerns.
Think its fair to say, that despite having been to the Willows before, this particular evening was the most thoroughly uninspiring of them all!

| Quote: Raymond Pennington "Reckon Friday's game v Crusaders will be better than normal because its not on a Sunday when the atmosphere is usually not as good.
Prefer Friday's also as you can have a drink at the game or before in the Irish or Hawthorne then get back for last orders at Tetley Walkers and not worry about work the next day!
We should play all our games on Friday nights under the lights...'"
Well there you go tonights atmosphere was no different than a sunday game against Crusaders and that was with a decent following of Cru fans.
So the atmosphere is different at each game. Sometimes good on Fri or Sat or Sun, no better or worse, it all depends on who we are playing and how we are playing.
Maybe Friday feels better for some as they can fit the match around their drinking and socialising.
Stick to Sundays for me as our normal playing day, we have sufficient games on Fri or Sat arranged for Sky.

| The atmosphere was better than Catalans but still not great.
Think the reason is that the drummer boy I think his nickname was 'Found a Peanut' has now gone and nobody is there to get the crowd going.
He was an absolute moron but he did get the crowd going that lad.
