The stewarding yesterday was very poor.There was a group of Fev fans allowed to almost wander up to Ben Westwood when he was taking the first conversion. There was another group being allowed to walk up and down in front of the stand. The West Stand should have been left open for visiting fans. I walked up to the ground from Bridge Foot at about 2.15pm and there were a lot of very drunk Fev fans wandering around the town centre pubs. I then went into the Red Lion for a couple of jars and found it full of some very verbally aggressive Fev fans.
Opening the West Stand would have meant that all the Featherstone fans could be together and would have prevented the confrontation they had with the stewards.

i also went in the red lion for a drink before the game with my wife, but when we got to the bar there were 4 blokes stood just in front of the bar and one man decided to pull his togger out off his trousers and wave it around. and they wonder why the stewards stand there staring at them in the match.
if someone can do that in a full pub, then they need watching in the ground were there are a lot more children around. |
