When he signed, I do remember the press, might have been the Aussie press, saying King's the highest paid centre in the world. Pretty sure they quoted figures of something like $1.6m Australian dollars, whatever that exchanges to...

| a massive let down has to be kevin campion. he came over with a big rep, saw wilderspool and had it on his toes. didn't even give it a shot. 4 grand final apperances and 6 soo apps. reckon he could have been a good player for us.

| Don't I remember reading somewhere that there are only four (or was it five) people who know what King's salary is? I'm sure that "inner-sanctum" will take the information to the grave with them, the rest is pure conjecture.

| Gareth Davies came with a good rep when he joined us in the mid 90's and turned out to be gash.
Dave "Doc" Murray was laughable as a RL player.

| Don't care who this upsets but i suggest Andrew Gee. He thought one brilliant performance against bradford excused him being s**t the rest of the time. All it did was show how good he was when he could be ar**d. He really did my head in.

| I remember there being a lot of hype around Desai Williams at Wigan a few years ago, and loads of their fans bought Afro wigs to wear in his honour, and then he turned out to be truly atrocious.

ooh, that's a good call that. i've purposely avoided nominating nikau, i've complained about him on here far too much in the past.
Tony Tatupu was another, we hid him in a safe house so the warriors couldn't find him, and was described by murphy as the alan shearer of rugby league.
Some say we went after kearney and got this fella instead...

| For me it was Steve "blocker" Roach. He had nothing but an extended holiday for us whilst Les Davidson played his heart out in every game. I remember at the time being really let down over his apparent lack of effort and commitment. World beater in Aus mediocre at best over here.

Surely the biggest let down must be Fielden at Wigan.'"

JOHNS WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!
NOW GET BACK TO SCOFFING PIES!
YOU may have watched joey on TV however you did not attend the leeds match which was worth every penny he got, go away you irritate me!

| Kevin Penny will get a few mentions no doubt. Could prove to be the case in the end, I hope not.
No hype, Dale Cardoza was a criminal waste of an athlete, had the physique, just no bottle.
