Two weeks ago, I was convinced he couldn't play halfback after watching him trudge off against Castleford. Today, he looked fine. Him & Briers linked well, and both took enough control, if that makes sense.

We have an extra dimension with Briers in the team. He has his critics, but he adds so much. I know he missed a tackle that resulted in a try today, but his work ethic & tackling has improved so much under Smith. He actually looks like he's enjoying that side of his game now too, and is putting a few shots on folk. |

Begging the question - why the hell hasn't he been doing so?
Excellent performance, although he is much better when Briers is on the field.
