| After the investment Ken Davy has made in Huddersfield, his patience must be really wearing thin with Ian Watson and Watson`s job must be on the line soon.
I was one of those advocating for us to sack Price and appoint Watson here and was disappointed when Huddersfield signed him.
Watson was great at Salford but the squad he has assembled at Huddersfield isn`t good enough and they needed a fast back and hooker NOT Tom Burgess.

I think these ratings are a bit over the top. It was certainly a very good performance, but Hudds. were poor on the day. Thewlis, much as I love him, made a couple of bad errors. You can't afford to kick the ball dead, particularly in a final against Wigan. He worked really hard, but Ashton was by far the biggest threat of our two wingers. Although credit goes to Thewlis for breaking a pad of beetroot juice on his head to try and get a penalty for us (LOL)).
Drinkwater's kicking was just ok, but his defence is a concern for me. I wanted him gone in the early season but I would have to admit that he seems to have upped his game considerably since then.
I would really like to have Wrench in the centre spot but Tai's defence and ability to take the ball up, considerably out weigh the elusiveness of Wrench in attack. King in the other centre is a shoe in simply because of defence, ability to take the ball upfield and his astute reading of the game when a break is on. Agreed he doesn't make many breaks but he has developed into a really clever player.
Top marks to Williams and Duffy. They can expect to get targeted by Wigan in the final though.

Not taking anything away from an excellent performance but it will need to be at another level against Wigan and Drinkwater's positional kicking will have to improve.
Tai plays for me. It is for Wrench to try and get the shirt back now as he is much sounder defensively and hits hard. Took his try well.

| Quote Mr Snoodle="Mr Snoodle"The commentary on the game was embarrassing....semi final of the best known competition on RL and they put someone commentating who cannot even be bothered to learn the players names, even when you can clearly see their squad numbers! I can sort of see the point the ones and the sevens on this years numbers are really similiar. No excuse for the Harrison/Currie one though.

| Great game yesterday, watching it back twice now already.
Not flawless but very good, Thewlis kicking out on the full and not kicking a penalty dead. In another game would maybe have cost us but can forgive him that. I'd be tempted to give him the catalans game off to give a weeks healing to that head wound, put Wrench on the wing, don't know who would kick though.

| Drinkwater has kicked over 170 goals in first-grade. Assuming he has been practising, he would be an able deputy.

Thewlis is getting a lot of head knocks and now two nasty cuts. I agree a rest on the basis of duty of care.

| Well done Warrington and absolutely over the moon for my good mates in Stockton Heath and Appleton Thorn who will no doubt enjoy their day at Wembley.
Don't be afraid of the crustmunchers and keep the faith.
As a Leyther in exile, I will be primrose and blue for the day. Well played and good luck ! I hope the final is a cracker.

| I know we (me) have been a bit sidetracked by the fans behaviour but other than that I thought yesterday's game was a cracker.
One of my highlights yesterday was the look on Dufty's and Vaughan's faces when they ran towards the sticks before kick off...biggest grins ever they looked so excited and I knew then that we'd be winning that game.
Also really enjoyed watching Gleeson working with the backs pre kickoff. We look like a team that means business, a team with a plan just hope we can keep this feelgood factor going.

| I’m assuming Gleeson’s thick grey cardigan holds some superstitious value…..otherwise I’m concerned why the maniac was wearing it in the blistering heat.
