| The six who were stood down after the match review have all returned negative tests however a seventh player, who wasn't originally thought to be at risk, has come up positive. There's nothing to say that they actually caught the virus during the game - so it could be anyone.
I'd be more concerned that, now the virus is within the camp, we may see other players testing positive next week.

Agreed, If the virus is in camp, we shouldn't be playing tonight in my view. Otherwise we could see Hull FC shielding from exposure to Warrington players next week, and the cycle could just continue throughout Superleague each week with whoever Hull FC play the week after.
It's in our camp, so the RFL should cancel the game to eliminate the risk of passing it on to Hull FC.

| It is going to be a strange old season. Just got to put up with it.
The good thing is we can see some of our players who would not normally get a look in.
I do feel sorry for Matt Davis ... who is a very decent player. He finally gets his chance this season and what happens ...he is now into self isolation.

Or perhaps we should just let the virus take its course and create a herd immunity among the RL community - Its not like any of them are at the serious end of the covid spectrum. Young, fit and healthy, they have more chance of being hit by a bus than being seriously struck with this. Most of them are probably wondering what all the fuss is about.

I agree that the players themselves are at very low risk and, in fact, many of them may well be asymptomatic. The problem is that they will come into contact with others (coaches, officials, family etc) who are at higher risk.

Of which, 99.whatever% will also have little impact on their health.
The fear is stronger and more dangerous than the virus right now.

Indeed. No one wants to step up and look at what this will cause in the future by crippling the economy. Today's kids haven't even had a chance and now we are going to throw millions of them into poverty through mass unemployment of their parents in a global depression. This will over time lead to a massive split between the 'haves' and the 'have nots'. This crisis has just highlighted how individualist modern society is, compared to a more collectivist past and the 'greater good'.

| Makes the team selection even more interesting.
Ratch into halves and Ashton at the back or Bring Patton in as a straight replacement.
So there is every excuse for a defeat tonight but will the team have the mental strength to forget the excuses. Still plenty enough quality in that side to compete and even snatch a win.
A real test of the strength of character more than anything else this one

| Things could have been even worse if scrums were still in use ...don't know how RU goes on with 8 in a scrum.
As long as the available players give it their best shot just sit back & enjoy the game.

| I'd be very concerned if I was in the Wire camp now.
Clearly for the person who has contracted the virus the emphasis will be on self isolating and getting over the next two weeks, but then it seems to be a lottery as to whether the virus will linger for months to come.
Unfortunately I know more than one or two people who had it back in March and are still suffering - they had no underlying aymtpoms and were fit and healthy before hand, but now by 3pm everyday they are completely wiped out.
That's mg big worry for those that do contract the illness - their long term health.
That has to take priority over RL.
My original stance was to applaud Wire for going ahead for the good of the game, but now that it's reported to be in the camp my view has changed somewhat.

| If anyone else withdraws we will have to draft in the Wirettes.
Ratchford to HB, Ashton Martin to FB, Patton to Hooker.
