| Quote easyWire="easyWire"Nothing in this current situation makes sense.
Everything is ‘token gestures’ so as to be seen to be doing something. The problem is, the whole point of the restrictions was to protect the NHS. The words of Boris himself. Now we are seeing big spikes in infections with little to no hospitalisations. The big picture needs to be looked at, instead of pandering to a sensationalist media. The fallout of the restrictions will kill many many more, it’s not just about destroying our sport... The trillions spent already, in addition to the public not spending out of fear, will hit our current kids hard and shorten their lives by decades with extreme poverty and lack of spending on essential services in the future.
The country needs a wartime style leader who will make the right, tough decisions instead of just doing what Joe Public thinks will make him feel a bit cosier.'"
Great post. Unfortunately, we have politicians who govern by reading what's trending on Twitter and reacting/panicking accordingly.

| Absolute farce! No other way to describe it, surely if it’s as infectious as it’s made out every single one of our players will have to isolate as they will all have been in contact with one another in some aspect? Just screams amateur, but I’d expect nothing less from our game at the minute.

| Quote St Helens Wolf="St Helens Wolf"From a purely selfish Wire point of view you would hope that none of our players were deemed to be at risk following a review of the Wakefield game and that we play Hull FC on Friday with a full strength team.
If you were running the League then you would probably want Wire to stand down and for Leeds to face Hull FC. This spreads the backlog of games (Wire have played 9, Leeds only 8 so you don't want them slipping further behind) and it also minimises the risk of a Wire player testing positive next week having played this week.
We'll just have to wait and see but there are too many players testing positive which doesn't bode well for the rest of the season.'"
Sorry to hear about your boys but Hull are far from full strength missing

| Well done Warrington for seeing the bigger picture and not looking for excuses to cancel the match. (As long as the authorities have deemed it safe).
Let's hope the 6 stay negative.
No Akouala.. ???
Almost agree with LTS on selection although Johnson is a 2nd row - in which case I'd have to have Latu as starting prop with Luis on the bench. I'd also be tempted to put Robson in, in place of Patton. (Depends on the tactics SP wants to employ).
Unfortunately we simply don't have size left.
Walker not in the squad, and too small when we don't have a big pack.

| I admire Wire wanting to play on but tbh I can see this scenario happening again next week where two Wire players involved against Hull will test positive for Covid and the game will get postponed etc.
