Well if Ratch and Dec are out for a few weeks at the start of the season let's hope Gidley and Smith are fit and remain so (unless Westerman is used).

It'll be an indifferent start for us next year I think but I'm not too concerned at that.

Not sure how we go about recruiting because most decent halves will want a 2 year contract minimum.
It'd be a push for Dec to be in week in week out but 2018 would be a different matter.

Looking at the squad it looks like another season of failure to me.

"outdone on retention" could have been an offer of e.g. £80k salary by both clubs, but Wire offering a 4yr deal whilst Wigan offering only 2yrs. So it was not at all pedantic, I was just trying to clarify.

We could do as well as any team in SL with the team we seem to be settling for. Quality throughout the league is not great & the team that does well could just be the best of a bad bunch.

The Brown signing and the rumoured £100k just shows the mess snake Sandow left is in in. But it's total desperation and we'll no doubt end up with him and Gidley sat in the stand at the same time

Yet another nearly season looming

Just another drop in quality looming this season, and the whole of SuperLeague continues to decline in quality. The sport will be back part time before you know it

The boring rugby we ended up playing at the end of the season, will no doubt continue, reliant on Clark and a winger who's not a winger scoots from dummy half.
