As a fan, sometimes we are blinkered to only see the tries, the big hits and the bust ups. But after watching the game back, you get to see how much work players actually do. Kev worked the ball away against a very tough and physical team from some difficult areas. Carrying the first and second ones are the real tough ones, and in seasons past, where you would have seen him stand well out of the way of, but he carried it in, made a few meters and played the ball. Nothing fancy, nothing silly, no mysterious injury for him to catch a breather, just got the job done. I never thought I'd be saying that!

Still quite raw, but has adopted a ''last chance" attitude and gives it his all. I just hope it continues, as at the moment he is a major part of our team, and has been more effective than any other of our outside backs.

Loving Penny's new attitude. He's upped his game, he gets involved in everything, whenever we force a mistake he's one of the first one's bounding over congratulating the other guys. No idea what's been said to him or what he's done pre-season, but it's been working wonders and hopefully he keeps it up. You never know, he could make another appearance in the Dream Team at the end of the season (and before people jump on that comment, I said "COULD" as in hypothetical).

It's also a shame we have to start emphasise key words so others don't go misquoting or reading something else into it.

Great performance from KP. He has added a new dimension to our backline play with his pace. I watched him play two or three times at the LSV for Swinton in 2013 and he looked like he hadn't changed that much, still backed his pace but his defence was still suspect at best. The move to a full-time environment again and everything that comes with that seems to have worked wonders for him. Sometimes the games requirements 'clicks' with some players later than others, with KP's late start to RL and his rapid rise and fall, perhaps he has now finally come of age as an RL player.
