BTW, any hatred of any club is irrational unless that club has deliberately and knowingly done you personal harm - I seem to remember yours being associated with a father of an old girlfriend.

Do agents not have to be accredited in the UK like they are in the NRL? That would seem a good way of squeezing out the Offiah's and Andy Clarkes of this world.

I still don't see what the issue is about Offiah's actions over the Myler deal to Warrington. Everybody seems to say "he acted disgracefully" but what did he do?

Is it that Salford offered Myler more than Warrington did, but Offiah persuaded Myler that it would be in his interests to join us for less money, so he could get better commission himself?

Or is it just that he was successful in getting the two clubs in to a bidding war so Warrington ended up offering Myler more?

What did Offiah actually do that was "behaving disgracefully".

I remember him talking Myler up in the media and implying there was lots of interest but thats just kind of a sideshow to promote his player, that is really an agent's job. Look at how Gareth Bale's agent is making a lot of quotes to the press about what an honour it would be for him to be approached by Real Madrid, to try and strengthen his position.

Offiah's job is to represent the interests of his player so if he got the best deal for Richie Myler he has done his job. It wouldn't be exactly surprising if the two clubs offered similar deals and Myler chose Warrington because at the time Salford were crap, the Salford fans knew it, on their messageboard they were always saying what a joke they were, what a joke McRae/Simms etc were. His rugby prospects were going to be better at Warrington. In the same way if Warrington and an NRL club offered him similar deals I can understand if he wanted to try the NRL as long as he felt he was realistically going to be a first teamer.
