Quote just_browny="just_browny"I think it could be a really tough game this Sunday, especially if the fans come expecting eighty and start groaning if we're not 12-0 up inside the first ten. I really don't like the idea of introducing young kids when we don't need to before we've even got a few wins on the board. You give them a run once the team is hitting its straps and playing good footy.'"
It could well be tough, I think the big emphasis this week will be on our 'D' as I think it was clear from TS post match that he wasn't happy with certain parts of ours at Hull, I can see there being a bigger emphasis placed on a nil than an 82. I see a comfortable hard fought (slight contradiction) if you know what I mean style win, say 28-12.
By introducing Dwyer, I'm not intending this to show a lack of respect for London, more that he has to be Hooker No.3 surely, I know it's more TS's way that we'll get a stint there from Bridge/Briers/Myler/Ratchford, just to find themselves at acting half in a set etc but I'd like to see the lad get a go, I think it would be a boost to the fringe lot also with the 20's season about to start.
This time last year, we'd lost to Huddersfield and needed all 80 of the mins to eek past Hull KR at home, so we really didn't hit our straps early doors, this could be a similar game to that Hull KR one, nip & tiuck, go either way job for sure. I just don't see it given Smith's anger post match, I think he wants a reaction.
