| IMO the best idea would be fill in the south-west corner as terracing. Have from the west stand round to half-way down the south as the home end. The remaining half of the south (where the screen is) can be for away fans.

There's an ideal spot at the bottom of Fletcher Street.

| It's all down to finance I think.
Filling both in the south/east corner the south and putting another tier in the south (for seating) would be my prefered option, with possibly east/north seating as well.
Loads of clubs have problems with the playing surface when it's all filled in.
Wouldn't fill in south/west unless there was some 'feature' to prevent any crowd trouble.

| AG's comments seem reasonable. Good to see us talking about expanding the corporate side as well which I am sure is a very good source of income for the club.
Looking at our average attendance we need to find another two thousand plus people who will attend on a regaular basis. Bar a GF win can we see it going up by that much next year?

| Quote bulldog13="bulldog13"Looking at our support to Wembley, we'll need to build up the stands to two tiers as well as fill in the corners!
But, oh, I forget, the closet fans always come out for Wembley trip!
Does make me wonder though - say we have 9 - 10000 fans for a home game on average, where are the other 25000?'"
If it wasn't for the so called 'glory' supporters we'd have had only 10k at Wembley. It's never going to change so why this has to come up whenever we get to a big match is beyond me.I say welcome them with open arms otherwise we'd be outnumbered.

| the best bet is too possibly do the following.
Fill in the corners of the stadium
north east. Seating, 1,250 seats.
South east. Standing, 2,000 extra. Have a segregation fence for unauthorised access to the east stand sitting area. Put the away fans in that corner with a 3rd of the existing south stand, to say the 20 metre line as away supporters. Again segregate this area and also in the concorse, so this is a seperate away area for them... This would possibly increase the away support from 3,000 - 3,500
South West. Fill in area so another 2,000 standing room is avaliable.
North west. Leave this area open. The sky screen can go here in a new position.
We could have a extra 5,000 onto the 13,500 capacity. Giving a 18,750 stadium, and if the north west can be filled in in the future. another 1,250 seats can be avaliable too be made too make a 20,000 stadium...
We can make this speculation, But lets be honnest. By the sounds of what andy Gatliffe said today. The stadium was designed with a extra capacity too be made in the future. And the blue prints were possibly drawn up in 2002 along with the current stadium blue prints...
And on the point of glory supporters... i agree that there were glory supporters there. But in honnest. we possibly have people in your average 10,000 - 12,000 people who can't get there for a veriaty of reasons. Work commitments, morgage, loans too pay off. I ahve been too 5 maybe 6 matches this year plus wembley. I assure you i aint no glory supporter. I have had a season ticket until 2008 when i couldn't afford too due too starting a new job and moving out of my parents too rented accomedation... even then i have been too as many as i can afford and avaliable for, and any i have not, i have managed to watch on sky sports when we are on.

That's what I think would be a good idea - having stood in the Fletcher Street end for 25 years, I would love to be able to stand at one end of the Halliwell - as a home end!!! We should give the away supporters either a terreced or seated area in the South East corner (or both) - have one big single terraced area from where the Sky screen is now in the south stand, all the way round to the end of the west stand, and then all seat from that point, along the North Stand, round the corner of the North and East stands, up to where the away fans would be in the South East corner again.

| Regards the core support v glory hunters (10k v 35k)
How many people would the HJ have in a season if you only counted one different person once. (wire only)
I reckon probably (just a wild guess) about 15k.
Then you have the people who class themselves as fans but don't have an interest in paying to go regardless of if we are successful or not.

| Do't think we need to re-invent the wheel with the stadium. The layout works as it is. You're going to end up with a partially filled South Stand.

| I think the orginal plan when the HJ was built was that capacity would end up being expanded to 18k. Remember that as well as getting more people into the groung the club has to consider being able to get them out at either the end of the game or if there is an emergency. Fill in the corners, what do you do about the big gates?
