This game has got potential banana skin written all over it unless we're totally on our game.
Really weakened in the pack agression wise, and Grix at centre not going to have them running for cover.'" Know where your coming from here mate, im more worried about this game than i am saints next week.

| Catalan are without a few too. According to the Guardian Elima wont play (back injury - even though he's in their 19) plus injuries to Greeshields, Pelo and Gossard. No Elima for them is simular to no Wood for us.
We have a strong squad, I still think we will win this one. It does seem that Catalan are very fired up for it though. Guisset says it's their biggest game of the year.

| Cat's have two things going for them .. one is they're a huge team so we should look to contain them with our best pack. The other thing is that 2 of their 4 wins this year have come in the only two games that Bosc & Greenshields haev been in the same team. They work the ruck really well & come back inside to the hole on every set.
if we are to rest anyone it should be King. Mathers is off at the end of the season . We should flog him every week.

being harsh there champ, grix was the best centre in the league for two months straight last year.
He's more than capable of playing there, again, his versatility is his strength.

| With a few posters Grix seems to be the new Jon Clarke, some people don'[t realise his talent. He can play centre, halfback, or back row quite capably and is a very talented player.

I agree Simon is a important member of our squad. He has a contract until the end of 2012 which is good for us.
I am not sure of his exact age but I think he is 24 or 25 which means his best years are all in front of him and he can only get better.

| I think we could have done with resting Richie Mathers... infact I would give him the rest of the season off.
After watching the game highlights a few times now i just cannot fathom the pathetic attempt at a tackle for their second try... great ball from sherwin but mathers had more than enough time to cover the ground a get a good tackle in... instead he hesitated and slapped (i think stacul) on the leg as he ran past... half hearted attempt at a tackle that showed no commitment whatsoever.. this isn't the first time he has looked scared of tackling a big man.... and im not going to even go into the second half.
Does anyone still thinks he has a better defense than Brett Hodgson ?

When he sets his mind to it he is a decent fullback. Unfortunately since signing Hodgson and his move to Castleford being announced he doesn't seem to be interested anymore. His form has dropped to when he was back at Wigan, which shows he doesn't want to be here any more.

| After the debacle in the Wigan game and the obvious lack of effort and interest in the Catalan game Mathers should be out of the squad. We are going into the business end of the season with a player who isn't interested in being at Warrington. Given the way he has been treated i can understand his frustration, but as a fan of the club i don't want him in the team if he can't give 100%. He is now costing the team points and that isn't good enough. You wouldn't want some the garbage he has come up with recently happening in the last minute at Widnes, Wembley or a knock out game in the playoff's if your 2 points in the lead! Please TS remove him from the team so that we can get our momentum back.

Whilst we are on the subject of crap attempts at tackles leading a try, I wonder why Clarke escapes criticism for his effort?

I think when we announced hidgson his form actually picked up a bit as he was sho-windowing for either a contract or a move. Have to agree thouhg that since it was all sorted that he was going to Cas then the effort just doesnt seem to be there. Im sure TS knows week on week whether Mathers should be picked bit I for one just wishes he showed consistent committment when he pulled the shirt on. Being the "number one full-back" doesnt give you the right to the number 1 shirt, you have to earn it!

Same reason as Carvell is being given some slack at the moment. And he's only missed a few weeks, not a full year.

| I think Mathers said something about having a pain killing injection before the game on twitter.

I think TANCW has already answered that one.
