| Also says in the article about VA being out with a broken toe due to a "weightlifting accident" anyone else think its a bit silly weight training in flipflops?
Not confirmed that this is how its happened but the amount of times ive seen the guys in Total Fitness in flip flops it was bound to happen.

| If a weight falls on you it doesn't really matter what you've got on your feet, unless it's steely enders.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

He is out for 3 months. He could have been out for 6 months. That would have been worse so yes, it could have been worse.

| I`d prefer to look at the positive, we`ll get a fresh, and raring to go Gareth Carvell back for the most important part of the season. We should make the play offs no problem, its what we do in the play offs that matters and to have a fresh forward back with his pace will be a big plus.

| If Carvell has a leg broken badly enough to require 3 months out, why was he messing about being driven to appointments by Richie Mathers?
Why wasn't he off to hospital on gameday for treatment in an ambulance?

i thought that as well.... not very professional... you would think a break would be treated immediately.

| It's quite common with serious injuries like this for full diagnosis and then treatment to not take place immediately and sometimes there can be several days delay. Often swelling needs to be allowed to reduce. The club has well qualified and experienced medical staff so I'm sure there is no reason to doubt the steps taken between the injury occuring and him seeing a consultant.

I dunno, look at Arsenal. Fabregas was taken from the ground by an ambulance to Arsenal's private clinic of choice. No messing, no hobbling around waiting for Richie Mathers to turn up to take him into A&E at Warrington general.
And Carvell's is obviously far more serious given the duration quoted for his time out.

| Not really. Clubs can not see a break without x-rays. Players go next day for scans giving time for fluids etc to settle. Only reason why Ritchie took Gaz is because the club wanted him to get checked local to club and they live in Yorkshire, and Gaz cant drive. It is called being a mate and helping out, and also as Ritchie has to be at club anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!
