I seem to remember Nikau being sent off. Farrell was being a big pansy and later made a really cheap shot on Busby.

I was there that day- we won 18-6, it was 1989 I think. Beautiful sunny day and we beat the mighty Wigan on their own patch icon_lol.gif

Good Memories- The Playoff game at the JJB (even though we lost).

The season before last's Battering of them at the HJ.

Wembley again we lost but it was my first Final and the
reception the fans gave the players at full time awesome.

Bad Memories- That Russell Smith Penalty at Wilderspool..Still Gutted...

Cup Semi at Widnes..Brett Dallas was the difference..I
really thought we'd win..

Watching for around 10 years, worst memory was the semi-final at Widnes and when Nat Wood didn't find touch on a penalty, and then Wigan virtually scored in the next set and won the game, anyone remeber that year?

Good memory, was the hot dog.

New Year 1994.

Jiffy had a blinder for you lot in a really close game. Mike Greg giving away that penalty in the last few minutes which Botica slotted to win the game 8-6. Absolutely defeaning atmosphere from start to finish, as packed as I ever saw Wilderspool. Proper derbies in those days.

And of course, the two points were quite crucial in the final league standings I seem to remember icon_wink.gif

I remember that being Cullen for going in with the knees in the tackle....

could be wrong though icon_surprised.gifops:

Those were proper rugby matches.
