| Quote Cutter76="Cutter76"Funny ,there are still plenty of Parra who are sad to see him go ,the bulldog game probably convinced them it was the end of the road and I understand Russell Crowe wasn't happy when he left souths ,if he'd stuck with them rather than going to Parra ,I'm sure he'd have got to finals'"
Also, if a player is potentially leaving/leaves in acrimonious circumstances, then the club's fans are less likely to post glowing comments.

Quote Saint #1="Saint #1"Also had four years at Souths and never took them to the playoffs either.
Really worth reading the Aussies' views on him forums.leagueunlimited.com/showt ... 831&page=8
This is a personal favourite: "Do they have internet and phone lines in Warrington? They can access information on players, right? If so, they've got rocks in their heads.
What are the odds of Sandow, a notorious home-sick, alcoholic, inconsistent miscreant going up to the North of England, freezing his rubbish off and play his best footy? I wouldn't take 1000-1 odds if you offered them to me.
He's going to get homesick, bored, cabin fever, probably fat, and be back in a year. I'd take any odds on that."

| Quote sgtwilko="sgtwilko"The Marshman chap seemed to know all about his game. I thought he might know about Sandow in the finals series in the NRL. I thought he could be the one doing the enlightening.'"
Briers didn't take us to the heights of playoff rugby for years but was still classed as world beater by his fans and also ripped the Aussies apart playing for Wales. Yes play off rugby is the pinnacle but if you have never played play off rugby that doesn't make you poor.

That should remind any Saints fan of the comments about one of their legends before he landed....
Jamie Lyon anyone?

| Big bonus for Sandow is he will be joining a decent club with a good recent record and fans that love attacking rugby ,if he produces the magic he is capable of ,,he will be loved

| Not sure what to make of that ,I cant see that Chris has many options left ,it's going to be very uncomfortable to stay at Parra just to collect his wages ,I take it if he comes over now we are actually going to pay him a wage ?? Seems best to take the parra offer and Pursue TPA through legal channels

| Many of the greatest players supposidly have a screw loose somewhere, but that loose screw gives them the ability to create the unexpected, think that few steps ahead and make them a cut above the average player.
I can't wait for Sandow to arrive. One thing for sure as well, he'll get a fantastic warm reception from the Wire fans and hopefully feel at home, away from all the crap down under and appreciated over here.
Just hope he signs and were not counting chickens.

Isn't he out of contract at the end of the season anyway? He could easily sit and take the salary and play for Wentworthville who will likely not have many games left, then have a long holiday, then join Warrington anyway? The statement/interview is just Warrington putting the pressure on him to make a decision on that. All depends on how much money we're talking between his remaining contract and the $50,000 offer from the Eels. If it's significant he'd be daft to come over early. If not, he'll take the offer and jump on the plane.

| If he comes over early, then I'm guessing that Wire will be paying a salary from the point of him joining. If we're matching the money he would be earning for the remainder of his Eels contract, I can't see why he doesn't just come over, unless they're other payments owed- image rights etc.?
