On topic - realistically if they string some decent performances together and don't slip up in the cup to one of the sides currently handing them their on a plate then it's a success. Still we can still hark back to long lost days of jumpers for goal posts and such other bollox.

Widnes are3 currently the only team to have a SL license for 2012. However in about 4 weeks the RFL will announce which 13/14 teams will finish above them.

Why the people think we're jealous of spending the thick end of the SL era on the outside, looking through the cat flat at the proper teams is laughable.

Absolutely, I don't know a single Warrington fan who isn't look forward to watching those games and isn't delighted widnes will be in SuperLeague. I don't buy all this crap that widnes were harshly treated but you will be a valuable addition to the league.

However, you have to accept that the things have changed now. The days when you could sing 'you always win f*** all' at Warrington have gone and to counter that by referring to something that happened around the same time as the Berlin wall came down is tragic.

I think a great deal depends on the fixtures. They should begin the season with a good attendance (maybe 8k), simply due to the fact of being back in SL. If they play (and possibly win) a couple of their early games, many of the 'fans' will continue to go. However if the fixtures see difficult games to start with, and possible heavy defeats, interest will soon decline.

I'd be expecting attendances similar to last time in SL initially, 6,500 - 7,000 mark. We got 4,027 last week with 20 away fans for example in just a standard league game. May not seem a lot to you guys but for Champ is a huge crowd. Already got about 3,500 people signed up for season tickets next year 8 months in advance too.

League position? Won't be able to make decent guess til seen side in action but hopefully as a new team anything from 10th upwards would be a great achievement.
