| Quote: Rosswire "I have watched Pryce carefully over the last season and a half.
He gets rave reports from the pundits, (Stevo picks out a MOM every week before kickoff then justifies his decision by praising him throughout the game. Last night it was Kyle Eastmond but its usually Pryce) and Eddy tags along because he doesn't know enough about the game to be able to form his own opinion (Wellens, the best fullback in the world).
I think Pryce is the most over-rated player in the SL. His involvment is very patchy. His tackling is rare to say the least and in attack he hangs back behind the runners waiting for an opportunity to cash in on the work done by everyone else, usually Long.
I repeat, I think he is vastly over-rated and shouldn't be an automatic choice for the England team in October.
Playing in a lesser team than saints his true quality would be exposed.'"
You can add Wilkin to that as well, Pryce's game is all about the last ten minutes when teams are fatigued but it didn't work against Warrington because their fitness has improved 100% since Smith arrived.

| There were several occasions when Pryce had the ball and our defence didn't know whether to tackle him (he would then offload) or wait for the pass (he'd then step and go). He's a great Super League player and anybody who denies that is stupid.

Woah there Warrior lets not be going down the route of peronal insults.
Im sure that the OP has his views and opinions, which he/she is fully entitled to without being subjected to that kind of abuse.

Why not just say that you disagree with the view and state your reasons.
No need to call it stupid

7749_1266928910.jpg Now The Wire.
[quote="Rogues Gallery":xjc47q2r]Wire - the enigma. They could finish top or eighth, who knows.[/quote:xjc47q2r]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_7749.jpg |

| It is stupid though.
He has defences always second guessing what he is going to do (usually using Wellens). He creates speace on the back of this. Top player.

Oh, and I did give my reasons before I said it was stupid. Anybody watching can see what he does. I'll change stupid to ridiculous.

| He [idoes[/i float in and out of games, which means that his half back partner needs to be the one to control the game. However, anyone who doesn't think he should be playing standoff needs to sit down and take a good look at things.
If you watch a Saints season reveiw DVD, it becomes quite clear as [iso[/i many of our tries come from Pryces plays/half breaks/offloads. Before anyone says he doesn't do it in the big games, I would also disagree. For instance his try broke the game in the CC semi against Leeds (realistically the biggest game we played other than the GF).
I've also seen him pull us out the sh*t when we've been behind and everyone else has been playing like s.
I know people don't like him, you may not think he's the best 5/8 around, but he's pretty much Saints number 1 strike player (along with Gidley, perhaps).

I have no time for Pryce as a bloke, but this is unbelievable. He's a fantastic player as his medal cabinet testifies.
