| Uncle Rico:
Just in and yes we gifted them trys when we needed calm heads following scoring ourselves and getting the ball back BUT that was an outstanding display from a patched up team.
It showed great character something I think we were all worrying about given our recent run of results.
Well done Wire and apologies from a doubter
I bet against us this week, in all honesty I could not see a win and was gobsmacked we were giving them 2 on the handicap. Were we that good or were Saints really poor I?m not 100% but boy we needed that.

| Agree with the plaudits for Currie.
In an era where we all felt a bit more optimistic we would all be raving about Dufty too. His ability to regain his balance when he has burst through a hole is unlike anything I've ever seen. Just a brilliant try again tonight (he has a whole portfolio v Saints) where Saints players were colliding with each other trying to get near. Plus the ridiculous catch between his legs for the Tai try.

| One of the best second halves I can remember. The numerous injuries put so much pressure on us & it was a superb effort ... which unfortunately cannot be replicated every week. Saints backs are struggling as they have brought in a few duffers. The next few weeks (months) will be tough so let's get behind the lads. Some excellent individual performances too.

| When Rod's hungry for contact we're in for a solid foundation in any game.
The spell out of his team and the short term move to Widnes really kicked him up the backside.
The fella isn't a creative centre but he can't half bang em

| Great gutsy win. Unrecognisable from the team that turned up in the first half against Hull.
Currie seemed to enjoy his time in the halves and that miss out pass to King for the try was brilliant.

I mean, feel free. He, Vaughan, Fitzgibbon and Musgrove are clearly of the size/power needed to keep us competitive in a game. Crowther, Russell and Holroyd (appreciating he didn't play) remain a worry for me - they're not big enough to cause the opposition a problem. I thought we rotated the forwards better last night so that we weren't left with a period in the middle of the game where the opposition could dominate us. Releasing a fresh Philbin for that last quarter worked well and he made some good metres. Vaughan has progressed really well since the early part of the season; he is a handful and looks like he is enjoying himself. Before I get accused of being a happy clapper after one win against a poor Saints team, we need to keep working hard on the defence on both wings as it was poor again yesterday. King and Ashton both need a bollocking for the tries Saints scored down their flank in the first half - both preventable. We are also terrible at dealing with a half decent kick off, it kept costing us.

| A real backs to the wall performance last night, well done to all. We will surely need another in the semi final.

| No matter how bad we are Saints will always be worse under Wellens. He's turned a once great club into an absolute shambles. 7 in a row.

I said to my mate after the 1st try where Ashton rushed out that he needed to trust his centre/the defensive process, then blow me down, for the Percival try he puts his trust in King who just backs off & stains stroll in! Needs sorting, and whilst we're at it, our goal line defence could be a lot more dominant too.

| I don't think King is fit, seemed to pull up when Percival went round him, groin I think.
