Over the years I can think of many high profile Wigan players who seemingly managed to unplug the life support machine and come out and play in a final and a couple of them end up getting the Lance todd!
Connally Radlinski Gregory Edwards Hanley..... shall I go on?'"
You forgot Blake Green.
Anyway - what's your point? Do Wire players never play through the pain? Because knowing Rugby League players - I doubt that very much.
I'm pretty certain that there has never been any lack of courage with your players, just as there wasn't with those mentioned above. It's just that they might have been more high profile at the time, so they spring to mind more easily.

Yes, please do. While you're at it name the Wire players that have similarly played through injury. Then make your point.

Anyway call them props or utility forwards the Wigan robots like Burke and Tuson just do the same job with the same effect on their bodies.'"
Biggest pile of crap I've read in a long time. Care to elaborate on this style that's so damaging to the Wigan props? Would it involve running the ball in? Tackling? What exactly is it that the Wigan front row (sorry...robots) do that your own props don't?

What are you on about? I said the duty of care to the players was in relation to playing too much Super League rugby in the forwards at a young age.
Now would any of the Wigan fans posting on here care to respond to the question I posed three pages ago:
"Now you tell me which of Wigan's academy produced props have matured into their careers rather than peaking early and fading away generally under an injury cloud?"
Obviously don't expect Rogues to answer this as we all know on here he has a history in respect to dodging questions.

He's no doubt working hard to recover from his unfortunate leg break. Should be back next season and by the end of his current playing contract with Warrington should still be going strong at the age of 32 having finished his testimonial season celebrating over ten years with Warrington and, all being well, have made in excess of 250 career appearances.

We'll answer that when you answer which Wigan props have peaked early and faded away due to injury, because other than Paul Prescot you haven't managed to come up with anyone. One name doesn't prove a theory, as you well know, even though it does support your prejudice.
In fact, the large number of props that Shaun Wane rotates at Wigan suggests that the workload is shared rather more than clubs who rely on just a couple of workhorses like Leeds and your good selves.
Or perhaps you could just admit you have dug a hole for yourself on this one. Wigan in fact pay a great deal of attention to medical care, as well as anyone in Super League, and better than most. Players playing whilst injured is nothing new. Are you telling me that Paul Wood and Adrian Morley haven't played whilst carrying an injury in recent seasons?

Give me strength, I replied to your question in the post following it. The whole issue is about forwards playing too much Super league rugby too early in their careers at a cost to the longevity of their careers. Is that so hard so understand?
So you can now answer the question I posed.
"Now you tell me which of Wigan's academy produced props have matured into their careers rather than peaking early and fading away generally under an injury cloud?"

Try to not to get so exasperated Paul. You still haven't come up with any names other than Paul Prescott to support your theory. Until to do it is just prejudice masked as a theory. It isn't hard to understand, no. But you need EVIDENCE.

| In an attempt to move this along. Props at Academy level are notoriously difficult to handle. Very few make it to the senior game. Many of the props in Super League started as second rowers or even in the backs (Morley, Peacock, Clubb).
I suspect that a trawl through the Warrington books over the last ten years won't produce many prop forwards who are still playing at the top level.
But I've tried to come up with Wigan's forwards (second row or prop). So here goes -
Crosby
Farrell
Burke
O'Loughlin
Hock
Hansen
Tomkins
O'Carroll
Kavanagh
Mossop
Allen
Jewitt
Wild
And the ones who retired early - Prescot and Hargreaves. Not sure what happened to Davies at Widnes.
Ok, so prove that Wire are better.
