| Couldn't give a stiff one, about the ref's performance, as I've alluded to in the ref for Sunday's game thread, they're all 5h1te, and tonight's proved my point.
What we need to look at, is some of our players' "performances"
Cooper. Games just seem to pass him by. A passenger tonight, with elements of crap thrown in for good measure. Time to go to Salford. You've had your chance, you've not kicked on from your early career performances. Not good enough as a squad player.
Westwood just seems flat atm. No great criticism for a bloke who's given us sterling service for years now, but he's miles away from his potential MoS award last year.
Waterhouse at his enigmatic best, again. Sensational one week, average the next.
I've never been a fan of resting players, no matter what their age, but Brett looks yards slower this season. Have a break, lad, and come back rejuvanated.
MonaghanM is running on 2 cylinders, too.. Time for Dwyer to appear on the bench, giving MM a week or so off.
Riley needs to start getting his shoulder into tackles, instead of brushing off imaginary dandruff off opposition 3/4's shoulders. Luckily for him, he only has Rhys Williams vying for his place.
Atkins looks like he's troubling Waterhouses' mantle for enigmatic player of the year.
Worringly (as pointed out on Sky Sports), two 35 year old props to the urine out of us, tonight.
We need to buck our ideas up.
Positively (at last), Grix and Ratchford looked great in broken play. Superb from Higham.
Leeds played like this at a similar time for the last 2 seasons, but went on to GF glory. They are "battlehardened" in these situations. WE AREN'T.
COME ON WIRE, WE NEED TO IMPROVE. LET'S START THIS QUICKLY, OR WE'LL END UP WITH A VERY TOUGH PLAY OFF ROUTE.

He shouldn't be scapegoated, but he should definitely have the sh*t ripped out of him by Smith in training. It was lazy, pathetic and inexplicably average from a player that should know better. It's not the only time he's been made to look rank average defensively this year, he either picks it up or he gets dropped.

| Tonight was just the continuation of recent abject form collectively and individually - anyone who wants to bury their head in the sand by reflecting we only lost by 6 or say the referee was inept feel free. I prefer to reflect, with great sadness, that the declining form of some of the players is becoming to look the norm and terminal.
Grix, Currie, Higham and Joel Monaghan aside, the rest played and looked like yesterdays men, and played and looked like they knew it.

| i have never seen Warringtons line speed so slow under tony smith and off the back of that you lost collisions and the ruck. Atkins core skills are beyond poor. m monaghan looks to have lost speed and fitness but doing all that tackling won't help him, maybe he should go to 7 and Myler to 6 until briers is fit again?

I'd rest him and Hodgson til 28th April v Bradford now (rested for one SL game against Wakey). Bring in Higham to start and Dwyer for the bench at 9, bring in Gaz O'B at 6 and move Ratch to FB. I'd even give Currie a well deserved statt too. We need freshening up big time.
Tonight, Michael and Brett looked like they've just backed up three games in four days or something. A good rest will do them both good, get them back fresh and back to their top quality selves for Bradford.

| 1.We've been average all year and Never really got going yet.
2. We're far from the sides of the past 3 seasons and will have to improve massively to finish in the top 4!
3. Everyone talks about the squad depth but you need quality in depth
5. We lack ideas and imaginative rugby and look one dimensional
6. We were beaten by a Leeds side tonight who are not at their best....a Leeds side that we would have destroyed in 2011
And before everyone starts saying get off their backs etc.....I'm just telling it how it is and we have to be realistic

A scrum-half with two shot knees? That will improve our penetration no end; besides, the main feature of Monaghan's play at 7 was the unerring ability to pass to opposition defenders.
Of the two HBs today, Ratchford was the better. So if you want to change the halves again, move Myler to hooker and bring GOB in. Better still, until Briers is back, leave as is, move Grix to hooker and drop MM.

I thought the whole point about the league not mattering was that there isn't any difference in the playoffs no matter where you have finished?

| I thought Higham dragged the whole team back into the game. Mick Monaghan was dreadful.

| Thought there was some forward passes missed from both teams tonight.
Currie and Higham along with Grix were your best players.
Kylie and JP played well for us and Sinfield had a poor game IMO even his kicking let him down this time.Hall and Hardaker played their part too.
Agreed that we got the 50 50 calls from the ref tonight which is a first from him.
Only 6 points in it but I thought we were by far the best team tonight and fully deserved the win.

We'll never know because Childs wanted to be the centre of attention. Every try you got was a refs try, every one we got was due to good rugby. You weren't the better side, you were fortunate.
