You would never catch me with one of those childish signatures:

Problem with someone like Orford is he isnt going to be here long term, what his he now? 30-31?

We should move heaven and earth for Myler at Salford, only 18 and wouldn't take a wedge of salary cap like someone like Orford would.

Looks like the pies are keeping tabs on Myler now aswell

Sorry - have I missed something?
Has there been an announcement about Briers?
Or is it rumour he's going?
Or - more likely - wishful thinking?

We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_12937.jpg

The Barrow rumour has resurfaced in a National Newspaper, in a varying form.

The Guardian has reported that he hasn't negiotated conctracts yet with Warrington and Briers has been quoted as saying He'd like to stay, but it's up to Tony Smith.

See, if Cullen was here, I'd have seen a job for life for Briers at Warrington, on the coaching staff, like. You can never be too sure now there's a new Sherriff in town, but I suspect if Briers was to get a coaching role at Warrington, he'd be here longer than Smith's initial contract.

Very positive reading this, especially the second paragraph. Even if he does sign for another year (sigh), you wouldn't have expected his career here would ever be in doubt while Cullen was here.

He would be an immense signing but he's just starting to develop into a top top player, I can't imagine him leaving the NRL just yet.

Penrith are reported to be putting together a massive offer to him.

See the NRL is such a strange competition, a side like Penrith who are only average in my opinion, could go out and spend massive on someone like Campese, sign a few other players to go with and they'd be suddenly challenging at the top. For example, the Bulldogs have already won as many games this season as they did for the whole of last season. Admittedly they had a few problems last year, but just look at Manly this year. It seems that one or two years of planning over there and the sides are challenging, I haven't kept up too much on the NRL of late, but if I was Campese I'd be looking at moving to a better club in the future, or at least a club who are willing to build a side around him and go for Championships. I'm not sure if Penrith or Canberra can offer him that, but it should be interesting to see if he moves, he's awesome.
