| But Ratchford isn't a full back. He had a stormer at stand off against Catalans so why not try him there again ? Put Gidley as interchange hooker because TS doesn't seem to have much faith in Dwyer so Clark finishes up doing big minutes. Try Russel or even Johnson at fullback & put Penny on the same wing that Ratch would operate on. Even the defensive qualities of Evans could make him a good full back.

To summarise
Opening 10 you looked like rabbits caught in the headlights.
Next 50 you looked like you could have scored any number of points, brilliant spell.
Last 20 WTF happened there, we (Wigan) for the first time this season decided to play like you do and you didn't have a clue how to stop it.
Lessons to be learned for both teams IMO.

| One change I would have made when you got a roll on, stop kicking off to gelling, he doesn't need to pass on to a forward and usually gets a quick ptb.

14 points and a man down, you had no choice really but to go for it and the ball stuck. On another night many of those offloads could have gone to ground, the ball knocked on or passes intercepted. But it wasn't another night, it all came off and, as you say we simply couldn't stop it.
I still think that a grand final place, and the title itself is still wide open and any of the four could go on and win it.

Definitely wide open, a brave man who puts his hard earned down at the bookies this year.

| Am I the only one who thinks last Friday and next Friday aren't really that bad?
We were comfortable until wigan, being 14 points and a man down, had to throw caution to the wind. On another night offloads would have gone to ground, the ball would have been knocked on or intercepted, the video referee would have come to the correct decision (or the referee would have sent it up as such) but unfortunately for us everything they tried came off and they were simply unstoppable. Next Friday we go up against a Hull side who have only won once since Wembley, and that was courtesy of another video ref shocker. At the minute we're still top of the league, and win or lose on Friday we're still in the semi-finals and 80 minutes away from another trip to Old Trafford.
Even IF we lose on Friday and/or again the week after this season has been a massive improvement on last and let's face it, things could always be worse (look at Salford)!

Sorry FMC I'm with Thelonius on this one
Mind you I missed the game and when I arrived at the pub three sheets to the wind they had the football on so as far as I'm concerned last Friday never happened
