| I see no evidence that our crowds increased after winning the cup.

Not really a valid point, Dad's LFC season ticket is a card (has been for years) and they obviously have quite a few more ST holders than we do...

| What is the actual reasoning behind having to have the season ticket booklet with you?

If Salford can afford card readers at the turnstiles then Warrington should have no problem.

Mummy duck is now thoroughly depressed. SHE was the one that was famous for losing five in a row........until the 2011 GF!!!!!: |

In theory, if the user of a season ticket cant go, he will sell that games voucher to somebody else. As the tickets are not transferrable then it is a breach of the ticket conditions (and also the club, in theory are losing out on the admission paid by that individual). The club is trying to introduce a measure that means the person who owns the ticket is the only one who uses it. One things this wont stop is the "oh I cant make it this week, here you go mate borrow my ticket. Give it me back on Monday"
The other apparent change is that each catagory of ticket has/will have a different cover which will make it easier to spot people trying to use the wrong type of ticket. Yep, some adults people do actually try and get on with kids tickets apparently.

That's exactly right mate. I used to be a ST holder for Blackburn Rovers and before the cards were introduced about 4-5 years ago roughly, you had to take the booklets and only at the turnstile would you be told what number voucher they required to get entry. Stops selling the ticket if the ST holder cannot make it/doesn't want to go!

| In years to come turnstyles will be equipped with retina/fingerprint recognition technology. The cost of this technology is reducing, and will be commonplace in many different facets of life in the next 50 years.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| Why don't we come in to the modern age and have the Credit card style swipe system that Wigan have? Much quicker entry to the Stadium that way.

There are card/ticket style scanners on the turnstiles in the East Stand, John. Surprised they are not used more often.

That's why we haven't installed them.
