| Players moving off the mark. It's been driving me mad since the beginning of SL. Very often it results in completely unfair offside penalties. It's as bad a problem today as it has ever been.
But worse still - repeat sets of drop outs.
There's something fundamentally WRONG with the game when a three-foot grubber kick can result in a team being forced to drop out under the sticks for a fourth or fifth consecutive set.
First of all - the play is rigged entirely in the kicking team's favour. Thirteen guys all moving forward with momentum against one receiver who very often has none. It's far easier to defend against the receiver getting over the try-line than beating thirteen guys coming at you with momentum.
But worst of all the rule penalises great defence and rewards failure. It's completely wrong to demand that a side which has successfully kept out the opponent on four successive sets (twenty four tackles) do it all again because the scrum half dribbled the ball over the line again (worse still when it bounces off his toe, ricochets off a dozen legs and then stops still three inches over the line).
Which is the harder task - a piddling grubber kick or denying your opponent a point on four consecutive plays?
IMO, if you can't score in your set(s) of six why should you be rewarded with yet another set?

| The way that referees occasionally ise the laws turning a law into something completely different. For example, the law was brought in whereby if a player offloaded after the referee had called held the ball could be given back to the tackled player for him to play the ball by assuming the tackled player hadn't heard the referee. This very quickly was ised to allow a tackled player to continue running after being called held only to be sent back even though the law wasn't brought in to cover for this. Yet when, as happened the other week, a player strips the ball after the referee has called held he isn't given the benefit and the referee gives a penalty.
Video referees that either do not know, or completely ignore what the word 'conclusive' means.

Use of the word thru.
Incorrect use of the words There, Their and They're.
Rugby Yawnion commentators and pundits going absolutely crazy over a try when us more enlightened folk see similar or better several times a week.

Noisy eaters.
Fans of any club other than Saints, wigan, Leeds or (maybe) Bradford singing 'It's always your year' (they're success over recent years has earn't them the right to sing it).

Not quite, Whittling you can tell it's been a long hard season it was something Pa in The Beverley Hill Billies would do to while away the time I guess until the Gopher hunting season started and such, it's tedious but it will get me through to next seasons start, I know it's early and most unlike me but I'm going for a pint.
