Haven't we got a deal sorted with Bradford for the highly promising John Bateman??.... This one has been rumbling on for ages, though I read on here a while back that we are nailed on to sign him soon....

b. I don't constantly keep saying "I told you so" "I said this"...in fact I have never even used that quote let alone the constant using of it on this embarrassing thread. There is however one reference I made about a historical point being the GOB u'turn, that only got its pressing in last weeks trade paper. Making you aware of this was not to score brownie points, but to highlight that the actual timing of this u'turn fell within the week the Cooper Cronk rumour had surfaced and the uproar that followed in the ozzy press. Perhaps its only coincidence?

c. I've never said Cooper Cronk is coming, would you like to find a quote where I said he is? I did say that the right people have been involved with the rumour. A little tiny bit of investigating yourself would fathom that out, there is nothing ultra informed about it!

The 'full on helmet' is in a no-win situation here. When...oh sorry if Cooper Cronk signs we'll all be deliriously happy and a love-in will ensue. RD may justifiably pop up for an 'i told you so' and be further abused for being a know-it-all. Whatever previous RD has, the formula he has used to draw his conclusion on this affair seems reasonable. Is it that preposterous that he would sign for us? It's not THAT unlikely, not as unlikely as say Mickey Mac becoming the face of L'Oreal......because he certainly isn't worth it
