| Sam Tomkins must be able to predict the future then, his gesture at Leeds fans was simply and indication of where Wigan were to finish in the league!

| Quote: Saddened! "To answer the question, no. You haven't won the league. The champions are crowned in October. Imagine what you felt last night and multiply it by about seven thousand. Once you win the Grand Final (This year or next IMO) you will mock the hub cap like everyone else does.'"
No honestly, we have won the league I can assure you. We now have to win the play off series that follows the league.
Will it feel better to win the GF, of course. Does it feel good to see my team win the regular season for the first time since 1973, yes. Does it satisfy me that we've beaten the teams in direct competition for that title home & away, yes. There's lots to feel very proud of this year and also lots left to achieve at the same time.
We've now won silverware for 3 consecutive years, that's progress for Warrington without question.

stop kidding yourself, you'll be devistated if you dont win the actual Super League now.
In 2005 Bradford won Super League, but who won the League Leaders?.......Exactly.

Firstly, you're a petty, bitter and jealous idiot; that doesn't know the first thing about rugby.
Secondly (and without checking and I may be wrong) I think st helens are immensly proud of winning the league in 2005 just like when they did in... 2008 (I believe)
We won the league! That is it! You're pettiness doesn't change that. I would say see you in october but I firmly believe wigan probably won't make it there.sts is a tough game.

Not a clue about rugby me. Only played it for 10 years. Not a clue.

| Some wigan and saints fans are showing themselves up to be extremely bitter here. Fingers in ears, la la la, I'm not listening, this isn't happening.
It my eyes we've just completed a 27 game league season. We won more points than any other team and finished at top. This says to me we have won the league and will receive
some silverware for doing so.
In 93 Wigan won the league and Saints won the Premiership.
The rfl acknowledged that winning the league was the greater of two and rightly so.
Fast forward to 2011, we win the league and the playoff winners are yet to be known. This time the rfl with the backing of sky deem that the pay offs are more important.
When are fans (football and rugby) going to stop letting sky dictate how they think about the game.

Basically we are top dogs at the moment and they don't like it...

Not at all. You havent won the league. The 27 weekly rounds are now a jostle for position going into the playoffs. Teams know that and no longer approach games in the same way. For example Smith lets Morley miss the game yesterday so he is back for the play offs. Under the old system of first past the post being Champions he would not have done that.
Had it been first past the post Wire would have won even more points no doubt and would probably have won the league. But its simply not like that anymore, you are not Champions for finishing top. You are crowned Champions by winning at Old Trafford in October in the Grand Final. The weekly rounds just make the route easier.

| i dont think we've won the league, cos we haven't we've finished top of the table in the pre amble.
That said, the performances and consistancy we've shown in finishing top is worth being very happy about, especially when you consider where' we've come from.
Consistancy and progress.

The man had eye surgery on Monday, he wouldn't have played yesterday in any scenario I'd imagine! TS knew we had more than enough to get past Hull last night to not risk Moz.
