is this the same casual des that is high ?'"
you think Myler organised that attack last night......?
Bret Hodgson organised everything....how he didnt get man of the match by a country distance was staggering.
Myler was the only player I was dissapointed in last night...... and the organising thing...not a chance .........he did a lot of arm waving to tell players to get deeper or get wider...and thats all he did he even waved somebody deeper and there was no one near him to follow this instruction...!!
to me it looked like he was trying really hard to be an organiser while he had the chance with Briers out......but it didnt work for me lots of arm waving and hand clapping and no end product, thankfully we had Brett Hodgson......
Makes Tony Smiths decision to drop him for wembley last year look absolutely the right thing he has a long way to go in his development.

Stop talking with your d**k out!
The lad cant do right for doing wrong. He organises alot, he set up his side all game only for Higham to go the opposite way everytime.
Hodgson did deserve MOM but Myler wasnt far behind!

Think about it. With Hodgson floating about, he would be hard pressed to direct the structure of attack. I was quite impressed with Myler, lots of demanding the ball at first receiver and varying his play.

He seems to have visibly gained in confidence by his shouting and waving which is a good thing. But when you watch Briers do it he sets things up. The guys he tells where to stand and where to run normally end up getting the ball or being a dummy runner .
Maybe i expect more than just telling blokes to stand deeper and then simply shipping the ball on to Hodgson. But as long as that's working why should i worry.

Your right Myler is a good player (maybe not what we expected though).
Your wrong on the other point pal!

Can you explain what you did expect then, or are you one of those who really didn't have much of a clue what we were getting?

I did expect a bit better kicking game and more taking on the line and running from hiim and side stepping like he did at Salford, but he seems to have become a very safety first player to me with the odd flash off brilliant supporting.
His all round game doesn't seem to have come together as much as I thought.

| If this fella put 'Cider' in his username, would you still respond? What if he put 'Casual Ray'? This thread is worthy of 606.

So you basically bought the hype that often builds up on sites like this, that we were getting some fully developed, rugby genius??...
If Myler was as good as you, and many others seem to believe he was, at Salford, then surely Salford would have done a hell of a lot better as a side than they actually were, with him there?
Myler has potential, he always has done...At Salford he probably looked very special because it was amongst a lot of mediocrity....However, now he has plenty of classy players around him he has to learn how to pick and choose his own 'moments'.....Its the classic 'small fish in large pond' scenario.
As I said before, I don't see him being another Lee Briers, he has never been that type of player, but certainly in 2 or 3 years time, I would expect him to be a lot more of a leader than he is at present, but ultimately that will only come with experience.
