| While we can all debate the levels that Jason Clark reached during his time with us, what would be interesting is a quiet hour in the pub with him to discuss his time with us in a honest and open way and see what his views on professionalism levels at Wire are truly like, in comparison with his time at South Sydney, where levels are, I assume, quite high.
If there's one thing that Clark did portray, it's that of a professional, dedicated sort of player. I wonder, once he has had time to reflect, what he really made of his time with us and the club as a whole?

He’s probably say C-19 was a massive disruption to his 4 years.
I think it wasn’t necessary a bad time for him and his family though.
They are a loving unit.
Only 2019 was kind to him on a playing professional level.

I actually meant more a simple comparison between us and South Sydney on a professional level, rather than Clark's own individual levels.

Not what I would class as a legend.
But who knows who writes for Wire Twitter.
Mind you I was not personally good enough to play 75 games for Wire ... so I will not be too critical.

| Jack Hughes played 148 games over 7 seasons and was Captain. Is he a legend?

| For the avoidance of doubt, I would like to say I do not think Jason Clark was as bad for us as some would have it.
However, during the Super League era, I would say there are probably only two players on whom I'd bestow legendary status - Lee Briers and Ben Westwood. Just short of that status I'd have Morley, both Monaghans, I suppose Alfie.

| Firstly I think the legend calls are for him as a person not a player. He’s widely accepted as a very nice fella and good on him, as a supporter I would prefer a horrible sod who was a better player though.
Secondly I don’t think we made the most of J Clark. Although clearly limited he was very good at getting into contact, drawing in two or three and offloading but we very rarely seemed to utilise that side of his game. He also saved his best performance for against Toulouse when we really needed it.

Clark finished the season pretty strongly, being one of our better performers in the last half dozen games which, given the generally dreadful performance of our back three forwards this year, makes me wonder why he hardly featured until then. Although no world beater he was streets ahead of the likes of Matt Davis.

His chase down of Lolohea at Huddersfield recently, over 75 metres revealed a turn of pace that I didn`t realise that Jason Clark possessed.

To be fair, I'm nearly 50 and I reckon I'd stand a good chance of catching lolohea

Oy, leave the legend that is Matt Davis alone, or we may have to have words young fella me lad.
