Maybe, in the long run, but not initially.

I'm teasing. But the club usually see a brief bit of form then award/extend a long contract. We did it with Price.

I understand that, I would win the Euro Millions if I could see into the future.

Yeah fair enough. He was extended Dec 2018 after we made both finals, giving him 3 full remaining years until end of 2021. Maybe a 1 year extension would have been better.
The 4 year extension for King was ridiculous then and now.

| I said since HKR home game we won’t win again, and it’s down to Toulouse and Wakefield now, I still stick by that,I’m afraid our future is in the hands of the RL gods, all wire fans should prey twice a day from now till end of the season.

| Quote: Or thane "Clark isn't playing well because the whole team isn't playing well and he's not a 1 man team.
Same as Holmes is playing NOTHING like he has done consistantly at Castleford.
The whole team is disjointed and not playing well together and everyone is out of form.
Next year will be a different story and we're gonna be destroying teams, i genuinely believe that. If and a big IF we beat Toulose then i think we'll beat relegation but if we lose i think we're goosed.'"
Genuinely interested as to why you think that. You have lost Cooper and gained Dudson/Vaughan. If the rumours are true Wardle is coming to Wigan and you will be getting King back, Ratchford and Williams aren't going to improve, Holmes and Currie will still be starters. Longstaff will probably get bombed out. Dufty i never rated and think he will go home early judging by his comments about going to super league last season. I just don't see where all this improvement to be 'destroying teams' is going to come from. Powell keeps whining about culture etc then signs Dufty and Vaughan. The man has lost the plot.

Can't argue with most of that. Although if we had given a Cooper a new contract at 34 and you guys had signed Paul Vaughan, do you not think you would've got the better deal?

| Pie-eyter you missed out kasiano is that by mistake or maybe you didn’t like to mention big Sam, we wanted rid of cooper for what ever reasons he didn’t leave he wanted contract and didn’t get one, Vaughan is one of the form props in the NRL and if not mistaken three years younger than cooper PS watch this space about wardle king deal, why do you think we moved for the deal as soon as wayne picked him for England, even tho he couldn’t get into Huddersfield side.

Because i think we'll have best pack in super league next year. Dudson is just a solid consistant aggressive prop who will start with Vaughan, who is a BIG solid very experienced prop who causes proplems. Followed up with Mikaele and Kasiano off the bench who are both a nightmare for opposition. With Bullock, Harrison and Philbin adding impact as well.
Throw in Josh Maguire who is an old school hard hitting forward we have a very aggressive and experienced pack. And Holmes is 10 times better than he's showing us this year,, plus Nicholson is now in the mix.
On the back of this Daz Clark will hit top form again, him and Williams and Dufty will have a field day running off the back of these guys.
Dufty in the 50 mins i saw him play was a nightmare for the opposition so will thrive, and the super league comments don't mean anything. Kevin Naiqama said the same thing and laughed when asked about coming here and he did very well and is on his way back.
Matty Ashton is great and we have Thewlis, and Wrench fighting for the other wing spot. Wardle is not confirmed for Wigan yet so we might and i say that loosely be able to keep him.
If not and king comes back i think he'll be refreshed from Huddesfield and crack on. We just need another quality half and i think we're good to go.
Again this is just my oppinion and how i think it will go if our players are on form. But the player we have/had/lost should have been brilliant this year and they've been off form and awful all year so it could go to complete S-H-I-T again. But i genuinely belive we'll get it right next year but only time will tell i suppose

We won’t pick up many points between now and the end of the season, but I’m certain we’ll win on Thursday night. We’re bad, but Toulouse just aren’t quite good enough to win on Thursday or pick up enough points between now and the end of the season to seriously trouble us. Not that any of that makes this season acceptable, regardless.
A shame for Toulouse though, as at the start of the season, I really would’ve liked them to have stayed up and see Wakefield go down, as it would’ve been good for rugby league in France and the league in general for them to grow and become an established Super League team. Unfortunately though, I fear they’ll go down and we won’t see them back up for a very long time, if at all.

I hadn't forgotten about Kasiano. No doubt destructive but i liken him to Mago. Ok for a 10 minute spell but i don't like props that can't do big minutes. I have no idea what is going on with Wardle but Hudds have just signed Niquama, given Cudjoe a new deal and Bibby we think is a done deal so i don't see a spot for King over there. It's certainly a head scratcher. Vaughan comes with baggage and it just screams of a last payday type of deal. You have had more than your fair share of them in the last 10 years.I really rate Wrench, i think he is a class act so if you do get Wardle your centres are sorted for the next decade because they will be right at the top in terms of SL centres. In reply to Moe, I would take the Cooper deal rather than the Vaughan one. Cooper is a cert in terms of what he is going to bring to the game whereas Vaughan is an unknown. He isn't showing signs of slowing down and i see him as a Menzies, Peacock, Morley type who just keeps rolling into his late 30s. Warrington at the minute are the Man Utd of Rugby League. Something somewhere is broken and nobody seems to be able to find out where it is.

Vaughan is still performing well in the nrl for a team that has been seriously struggling. If Cooper is a menzies/peacock/Morley type(I love the guy, but its embarrassing lumping him in with those 3!!)then why only a 1 year deal?
