| 2 signings doesn't sound a lot but with Inglis and Butler coming in is good news. And someone said months ago we had signed a backrower so could be 3?
8 out and 2 in seems a bit wonky.
Outs - Burrell, BMM, Dec Patton, Harvey Livett, Ellis Robson, Sitaleki (suposedly), Latu (Supposedly) and Mamo if the rumours are true.
Ins - Inglis, Butler
Hopefully we do have a Third signing aswell, to be fair 4 of those won't be missed as Burrell, Livett, Sita and Latu have had a handfull of appearances between them so adding Inglis and Butler is actually a bonus. I would have liked to keep Robson as he's massively impressed me in all the Games i've played

Well, Burrell and Livett aren't on the salary cap, so we don;t have teh cap space to replace them and Sita and Latu haven't gone anywhere yet, so we would have to move them on before we could sign anyone else.
I too would have kept Robson based on his showings, but then maybe a team where he can play first choice will be better for his development? Mamo too I hope stays, I would take him over Lineham right now.
So BMM & Patton (Robson wont have taken up much cap space) out,, Inglis & Butler in.
I too would like to see an attacking back rower come in, Hughes just isn't dynamic enough for me.

| BMM going probably won’t be a massive miss. Due to his injuries he hasn’t had anywhere near as much impact as we anticipated, in fact I’d probably rate him as C+ overall. Sita seems a very nice person but again hasn’t contributed much, as for Latu...

| We may also have to pay out some increased salaries to youngsters for next season, which would seem to be a good thing!

| I think Robson left under his own steam. We wanted to keep him but he wants game time which we can't give him, hence the Ottowa move is a good one for him I think.
Losing BMM is a blow I think given that he's now over his injuries and showing what he can do, but it's the 3rd year in his 3 year contract. Overall it's been a little disappointing but chiefly down to injuries.
Sita is an impact player but would be 2nd fiddle to BMM, and now he's fallen out with SP (or SP with him) there's no evidence he'll get anywhere near the 1st team - playing him on the wing was - for me - a bit of a cheap shot by Price. He can do a job for us but is unlikely to be given he chance.
Latu wasnt an SP signing and doesn't look to be up to the standard of player we need.
Unless we can offload them they'll be here next year.
Livett is a good player but if his attitude isn't right then it's best he doesn't come back. Attitude is sooo important.
It's clear that when you're not in SP's plans, you're not in. End of.
Patton is out of contract, Burell has left already.
I still think we need another decent prop (on top of Butler). Maybe that could be Doro.
Happy enough with the backs, halves, 2nd row and hooker. Hopefully the fringe players will get a bit more game time next year.

There is no need to sign another back rower IMO, we have currie, Hughes, Jason Clark, matt Davis, Luis Johnson, Ellis longstaff and Toby King who I would move there permanently for next year.
Mamo is contracted for next year, sita I'm not sure about, I would love him to stay if he could manage 40 minutes a week at the intensity he plays at off the bench. Latu hasn't worked out so theres no point keeping him, But I'm pretty sure he was signed on a 2 year deal. Robson won't be on a big wage and leaving will be better for his development, I hope we have a buy back clause though as he looks a good player. BMM got a good offer but I think he's going to be a miss.
At centre we have inglis and Gelling with mamo and brand as backup, with wing options of charnley, lineham, Ashton, mamo and thewlis. It solves a headache for next year in the centres by moving King to second row, a back row of King and currie with Hughes at 13 would be my preference for next year, Inglis and Gelling starting centres. I don't think we really need anymore signings if we have butler coming in, we have seen the cover we have in the reserves/ academy. IMO if we have cap space rather than waste it on a panic buy in the ilk of latu we should tie up a long term deal for matty Ashton and improved deals for Dean, thewlis and longstaff. I think we only need to recruit if widdop leaves us, other than that the squad looks really good already.

Especially considering we paid a sizable fee for him.
Was delighted when we signed him and he's brilliant when firing but we've not seen enough of him at his best.

I agree Jack but IF he signs off this year with some proper displays and impacts upon a ground breaking successful season then it might just have paid off.
One player doesn't make or break a team or shouldn't but in his pomp it does give us a something different in attack

Going for controversy here, but did Solomon’s have more of an impact than BMM?
I really do hope he signs off with a bang though.

| He needs to take the ball in closer to the try line for the barge overs he did for Salford. Not seen enough of that for me.

He really isn't a one dimensional player, we haven't always seen the best of him beacause before we came out of lockdown for the past 18 months we played a system that stank the place out and was completely obvious for the opposition to read. If BMM made a run with no dummy runners there were 3 defenders on him closing him down. Despite that he has still scored good tries including an important one in the challenge Cup final last year and he's still been one of our most dangerous players since he signed.

| BMM has had his moments for us and injuries have not helped him, but he was a better player for Salford in my opinion.

I agree with this and Captain Hook's comparison with Solomona, particularly when you consider his form at Salford and the transfer fee that came with it .
I think he's an honest guy and if his injury niggles are behind him and the style of rugby we are currently playing there is still time to sign off in style though.....fingers crossed

There's all to play for in 2020, and fingers are well and truly crossed. It will be interesting to see how the pitch holds up after Wigan and Leeds have spent 80 minutes on it. As I posted earlier, we need to make yards, not mistakes, then we'll be fine.
