True but it would be a brave coach to leave out a marquee player.

| No way Ratch should be LF for me, would mean an already weak pack doing much more work to make up for it

+1
our biggest problem at the moment is the lightweight pack. Putting a lanky string of p!$$ in it is not a good idea at the moment. IF we had 4 decent prop forwards in the club (al la Moz, Carvs, Wood and Hill) then maybe.

Goodness me, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
Irrespective of the potential merits of switching him to LF, with Widdop still to be proven, Austin still not back to his early 2019 best and Currie still to regain his form, that "lank string of p!$$" remains our most talented, in form and naturally skilful player. Modicum of respect?

Our most creative and biggest attacking threat wasted at loose forward? No thanks.

Yet you're asking for Ratch at loose. Make your mind up.

You don't need to have a massive pack. Our pack showed in the first two games that a lightweight athletic pack moving the opposition forwards around the field is more effective as trying to steamroll your way downfield.
Lanky Streak of P1$$… Tells me all I need to know about your opinions and that you can't talk rugby

I disagree about 'most creative'...he's not even close.

He's madly in love with Steffan Ratchford, so he'll say him.

Creatively better.
Widdop Ratchford Patton Currie (Livett)
Austin is a fantastic runner and side stepper, the best I've seen at Wire since Jiffy, as a plus he has good strength and some pace...his defence is OK for a half and can take some shots...
But as creative goes in handling is less than average and his attack kicking is often poor for a game then average in another.
Personally I'd have the bollox to shift Austin out to right centre and play Widdop with Ratchford.
It looks more balanced to me.

You just can't help yourself can you RD? There are people in Walton Lea who are more creative than Patton.
