You could also say this is a problem with our fan base as we have zero patience anymore, he's taken us to 3 out of 4 finals in 2 years and won one of them. Next year if nothing changes then i'll agree to the above, but look at leeds awful one year and fighting for survival then dominated the next year with the same coach. I'll give him another season before i make a final decision.

| Make an offer to Watson that he can't refuse and let him have carte blanche to bring in whatever coaching set up he wants. If it means Briers and Westwood don't get a look in, the it's "so long" from me with a big thanks for all you both did for my team as a player.
If Price is still here next year it won't matter if Widdop brings over the best from the NRL coz we still won't win the Grand Final.
If we play the same next year, I for one won't be in attendance (and based on tonight's attendance, neither will a lot of other folk)

Brian McDermott won 8 honours with Leeds including 4 GFs and a WCC, this bought him some patience from the board. So I don't think the comparison with Price is fair.
Price would be sacked by Wigan or Saints based on the last 3 months league form. Leeds got rid of Furner after 14 games. Big clubs make big decisions.
But Wire, and some fans it seems, accept mediocrity. You get the coach and results you deserve.

| AGREED. Wires71 and a few others have been lambasted for years for this view. Either we stop arrising around playing at it or we make a serious (non salary cap intrusive) play for one of the worlds best coaches. We have to win the GF! Thats what all this has been about and we're ten years down the line playing godawful teams and still losing. SORT IT.

| Last night ended our 2019 campaign and should end the tenure of SP.
Messer's Moran and Middleton should be right into Fitzpatrick as his staff have completely let down the club, an elimination play off and only 5.5k fans turn up that shows what the Wire fans think of the current team and its style of play.
The messiah Briers, what effort has he put into Patton, clearly zero.
The current starting 17 have no real back up of any quality, who on earth thought it was a good idea to hand out a contract extension to Sita, for crying out loud he only has stamina for 10 mins a week.
SP and his coaching team must be fired and new blood brought in, we have time on our side after that load of garbage last night.

| Emphasis on defence in much of the early periods largely contributes to falling behind to a opposition try. I can't recall a season being like this. If I wasn't a 1st try scorer punter, I wouldn't be so bitter and observant of it.
The whole sum is to score more points than the opposition...chasing the game almost every week doesn't help our causing.
Under TS we didn't take defence as important as attack and always tried to out score them.
Under Price it's the opposite...out defend the opposition and then get some field position and hope we can score from the area and fatigue of the opposition....we're a proper prop short of smothering out across a season...we've all said so all season.

| Very true that Mr Duck. It is a regular occurrence these days for us to be playing catch up rugby. One of our main problems seems to be making ground in possession ,Cas went 90 yards on a set of six to get their second try ,& most games this season making yardage with the ball has been a problem for us for one reason or another, as a result we are turning possession over in the wrong areas of the field & putting ourselves under more pressure.
But,thankfully, that result has made it impossible to paper over any more cracks. Btw ,the kick at goal from half way ,was that a Hill decision because he seemed to be get very involved in what was going on ?

That's cos we're getting dominated in the tackle, opposition are getting through the line and fairly quick play the balls, couple that with the slow line speed, 2 steps then stop, its no wonder props can get past and land on their fronts.
Bods were getting excited by them big hits from BMM last night, its pointless, we didn't follow that up as a team, and it was too little too late from him, especially going forward, its amazing how easy he seems to be to tackle now.

| Making yards is a problem for us because we have no offload game so the opposition can commit numbers to tackles without worrying about gaps being exploited. We are the victims of our own crappy game plan and playing style. It doesn't need an offload every tackle, just the threat of an offload is enough. We have been dire and toothless and most of it is our own doing, the players can't have enjoyed playing this season.

| It is easy to see the season through rose tinted glasses with the CC win which I admit was absolutely fabulous but that was a terrific one-off job on the opposition.
Even in the early part of the season I didn't see that much. Yes we were second for a long period of the season but wasn't that more to do with everybody else being rather poor and inconsistent that us being any good. The playing record over the latter part of the season has been absolutely awful in both results and style. In many other situations that would result in the coach being sacked. I am not an advocate of the Watford sack you coach every year methodology but after some over night pontificating I just think that Price has lost his way and control and needs to go. The club needs to show a certain ruthlessness to send a message to everybody in the club including the playing and coaching staff. It seems to me that the players are running the show and deciding when they can be bothered to play or not. Even last night there was not a level of intensity I would expect in a play-off do or die game. Why not?
Next season we will have the best spine in the league by a country mile and need somebody in charge who can sort the squad and the players out to make sure we have a team going forward to give the space for the spine to shine. Five drives and a kick and hope to the corners will not do.

Well this is the thing ive been sticking up for toby king, ppl saying he cant draw a man and get his winger away, THERE IS ZERO SPACE for him or Goodwin to exploit now, defences arent getting drawn in, we dont work to pull defences tight, it all starts in the middle.

This coupled with our reluctance to push up in defense. We need forwards who make the occasional offload and backs who can draw a man and put a pass away.

| But we [ido[/i have an offload game - Cooper, Hill, Clarke, Lineham & Hughes in particular are all very adept at getting the ball out of the tackle under pressure.
But they've clearly been told not to. [iThat's[/i the issue.

Exactly our problems are all down to coaching. London played brillinant rugby under henderson, I'd keep him and bring in a new coach for him and Paul anderson to work with. I think briers needs some time at a different club as well just to freshen himself up.

| What's the point in having strike players like Blake Austin, Stef Ratchford, Daz Clarke etc when we've got Sam Allardyce in charge ?
