Great signing for us, even though he's not match fit. Seems strange why you let him go, any of your half backs could suffer an injury, and Kevin would have been a decent 'emergency' call up if you like.

There is certainly activity going on at the moment. You would like to think it is part of a coordinated master plan.

There does seem a lot of ‘chopping & changing’ certainly in the space of such a short period of time. I do remain hopeful it is all part of a ‘master plan’ but my general thought is that these players are surplus to requirements, they aren’t part of the future plans & their contract is running out so let’s be proactive and move them on.

Given the current injury crisis, whether this is a good move or not time will tell. We go get thumped by Saints at Wembley then move further down the table, then Atkins and Brown could have really good finishes at their new clubs. We could be left very red faced by all this..

I note that he's gone on loan. A bit like Livett and Johnson to Hull KR? If he gets fit and starts ripping it up then surely you might whip him back?

To me it looks simpky like Derek B is helping us out by taking Brown off our book with their season is technically over and knowing Brown wasn't going to feature for us this season and not going to feature for them.

Livett and Johnson were the type of loan that are an initial 1 month, and then rolling week to week afterwards.

This appears to be different as a loan until the end of the season with no return.

If it was another Ben Harrison to Wakey situation I could understand that. That was done to free up salary cap room for Sandow (I think?). But as Brown doesnt count on the cap, I cant see how this helps us?

I was surprised he wasn't out there on Saturday celebrating with the lads. Jack Johnson was and he's on loan same as Kev. He's still a Wire I would have thought and as he'd come here to win things was surprised to not see him in some capacity. Was he even at the game? Bit strange.

Probably wouldn't have given it a thought had we lost - Kev played in a couple of finals already, had his chance, got an unfortunate injury, time to move on.

Must be tough on him. Shame but that’s sport. He talks well about us on TV as a guest so I don’t think there’s any hard feelings.

He came as a contingency for the Sandow situation and did a solid job.
