Doubt that had anything much to do with it. Gerrard put his leg in a position that it wasn't meant to be.

In a similar RFL anomaly Lama Tasi has been charged grade B with using his shoulder but Sam Powell ,with an early guilty plea, could escape with a one match ban for deliberately attacking Tasi's knees from the side. More needs to be done to save players from career threatening injuries.

Easy fix.
Ban any 3rd plus tackler going below a players waist in a tackle.
Instant yellow card and report 1-2 games break for any player doing so.

Heard today Ben's had some good news and could make a comeback for the final couple of games of the season. Personally if we are home and hosed by then I wouldn't risk him. Let's see.

It's not about risking Ben for Warrington 2018 interest.
It's about Ben getting 4/5 games in before the season ends to benefit England World Cup hopes with his selection and Bens dream.

He will. He's a young lad and there will be 4 World Cups during his career.

If he only plays one game, sets himself up for a barnstorming year next season. But certainly not in a position to rush!
