| Quote: Captain Hook "It seems to be those who don't agree with your view that are pilloried.
Interesting that you raise the issue of Saints though. They have griped about KC for a lot longer than you have about TS. They suffered poor results, poor signings and a dull style of play for far longer than we have under TS.
Just to reiterate though, my position is that I am far from happy with our playing style this season, that it MAY be that TS is due for replacement (subject to a suitable alternative), but I do not want him sacked mid season. I can see however that there are forces other than just the coach that account for some of our problems and as has been pointed out the forum is for opinions...these are my opinions...'"
and valid too even on a Jullien thread
I agree that it is the posters taking a negative position are generally the ones dishing it out about others. Show any kind of balance, any hint of positivity, then you must be an ostrich, a superfan, someone prepared to put up with any old rubbish, someone who needs to wake up.....perhaps we should be someone that plays golf, or rides a motorbike while we criticise?
Apologies for adding to the derailment, there's surely enough of this type of commentary on other threads why don't we stick it out on those and agree that Jullien is a positive this season?

| He reminds me of a young Paul Derbyshire, not actually aware of his size and genially believes that he is 6ft 5 and 19 stones with the heart of a lion

| I said the other day to my dad that George King seems to have developed some good impact this season. He seems to be moving a lot faster and hitting a lot harder then I've seen before. Him, Jullien and savelio are brightening up the pack for me at the moment. I love sims but he doesn't have the impact that a prop needs, still wouldn't leave him out the side though puts his all in to each game game. Get Crosby back once he is ready and the pack will be a lot better still.

Sims is a 2nd row forward. Fact.

All those games he played for the Cowboys in the front row; clueless NRL coaches.

| So when I thought that we were having to cope with only 2 front line props last season we actually only had 1 plus a second rower? Makes last seasons achievements (Failures) even more remarkable.

If Sims played at second row the opposition would run rings around him.
Not a fact. Just my opinion.

Yes because he never played 2nd row in the NRL at all did he?
Just look at how effective he is/was when he ends up on the edge of the field like Vs Les cats at the start of the season. His offload game which is clearly encouraged would be far more deadly in the second row where he'll have an option to offload to a centre, a half, a hooker or winger.
Just because he played there for NQ doesn't mean he couldn't do a good job in SL in the back row.

| Sims is a pretty decent passer of the ball & is solid in defence & i too think he would be better as a ball playing second rower than trying to break through the line as a prop which he clearly isn't big enough to do.

He has the right height and build for the second row too. He isn't going to charge in and bust a tackle at prop. we know that. as a 2nd row hitting a line with a bit of space to work in he could be far more effective.
