Gidley was great last night....scored a good try....put in some decent kicks...showed some leadership..made some outstanding tackles...the one against LMS (or bin bag head) was a game changer.

Gidley had a great game last night, has had a decent season and warrants a place here next year.

Apart from his own performance I think that he genuinely adds something to the team and hearing Chris Hill on the radio as I was driving to the game so does he. The young lads in our team and we have one two must benefit from having him on the field at training, on the pitch during a game and off it in the dressing room

For me, Gidley, Hughes and Westerman have massively stiffened up our defence this year compared to last. Defence the big difference and has compensated for the loss of injured stars - last season we wouldn't have coped with losing Westwood, Currie and Sandow.

I think Gidley has added that steel we needed, is he the best kicker - no, is he the best taking on the line - no, is he the most skillfull - no. BUT is he the most professional - yes, is he always putting in the effort - yes, is he one of the fittest players we have - yes.

I think he put out one hell of a performance last night and seemed to want to prove a point after a disappointing cup final (through injury)

It doesn't but it would appear that you are oblivious to good play. I absolutely despair when someone starts a thread like this after a win like last night. Thankfully there isn't another poster that agrees with you.

People underestimate the importance of having a quality 5th play option.

How well are Hull playing? Maybe give saints defence some credit? I agree to an extent that some of our last tackle plays weren't testing enough for Saints but they managed the field position well enough. You do realise that we win don't you? this witch hunt of yours is bizarre, sandow is our off the cuff player, go to last play specialist and he is injured. It's testament to Gidley, ratchford and Patton that we are playing as well as we have been recently without a player as influential as sandow.

Gidley great player. Looks at times too much playing him a hb and looks knackered. Prefer to see him at fb for a change.

I find it utterly amazing anyone questions the value of Gidley. He is the signing of the season.

Gidley has been as good as you'd expect from a 34 year old veteran. Sometimes brilliant, sometimes poor, mostly good.

Yup I feel that there us some very harsh criticism of him.from some on here.

Considering he's been carrying some kind of knock most of the season I'd say he's has been good especially when he is picking up the knocks puttingbhis body on thinking for the team
