| After a 5h1t3 first half, that last half an hour was superb.
We are made of sterner stuff.
A lot has been made of our fitness, this year. I think that's irrelevant. WE ARE MENTALLY STRONGER, and it's shown. We look commited (bar our first half "tackling"icon_wink.gif
Ohhhhhh, W@nky, W@nky, the Salford fans were singing, at 9.p.m. Quieter now, aren't they. Quiet from Stains fans, too eh?
Wow. Just wow.
One game at a time, Wire

With us being the better side these days, we are licking our lips at inflicting more misery on Wire in the coming derby. I expect a fairly straight forward win.[/quote:1d72a5qw][b:1d72a5qw]Wire 44 - 6 Widnes[/b:1d72a5qw]

I think Atkins is always good for a few tries, and I think that's what keeps him in the team. I still think he needs a rest. I was surprised too, though. His second was a peach.

| Christ, Sandow is earning his bloody money!
We seriously got out of jail there, I'd go so far as to say we didn't quite deserve that but it's great to see us on the right side of a comeback for once. Now I know how it feels to be St Helens circa 2005. Think that is the kick up the butt for us to not let up any week from now on. Better to have it now and still come out winners.
Poor Wheeler, you can't write it. He's a waste of space anyway but I didn't wish that on the guy.

| Dobson looks thoroughly ed off stood there.
As an aside, apart from the world club series, what's the strike rate on players doing the post match bit with wells, actually being from the winning team. Pretty sure it's been mainly losing sides.

Great decision by Hicks, the niggling was getting silly and he sin binned two players and all that rubbish stopped.

I do feel sorry for Wheeler. But we did let O'Brien go. Why?

I was always a big fan of O'Brien. It was a hard decision because he had a good opportunity to prove himself, few years. He suffered from having to do it on his own though. Put O'Brien as a back up with Gidley and Sandow and we're no worse off in any way. I'd have kept him around. In the end though he eventually does have to step up and carry a team, I don't think Gaz would have ever done that.

| We did it using pretty much 15 men - Wheeler played 10 mins and Julien never got on - and Dodds didn't come on till 10-15mins into the 2nd half
Great fitness and determination

| Found it ludicrous to send Currie to the sin bin and yet leave Masella on there.

| I thought I saw a class drop goal in the hull Cas game last week but that from chrissy Sandow tonight will be the kick of the year.

I would have just about grinned and borne it if Murdoch-Masila had gone too for his horrible little dig on the floor. But the fact he didn't made it a shocking decision and, as you say, set an interesting precedent which won't be repeated when Leeds etc start doing the same.
Nevertheles, I thought it was great that Currie didn't back down in front of that meathead: we gave Currie plenty of stick last season for not getting his hands dirty. He stood up for himself, his sinbinning fired up his teammates, and the rest was history.
