| Quote: Slaphead63 "I think the people who are doing it have been to all the focus groups etc so I assume the club approached them first. If you turn up to these regularly I would hope that this shows a certain level of commitment.
The Fans ideas and events are not beer or self related at all and ALL will be family event orientated, Speaking to them last night I was impressed by the things coming up and it is Team and club related. if people do not like the things coming up it is time to quit the club because no other club in SL will be giving this club OR fans the level of access before.
one point that did come out of the groups were members did not feel valued by the club......well trust me that will be blown away in the next few months. Once the season actually starts everyone will see.
If anyone has ideas I suggest you follow the Facebook or Twitter pages etc.
Slap'"
With respect, the 'super fans' who dress up to visit Wolfware and have time to attend all these things aren't usually very representative of Joe Public. They tend to either be brown noses or people who love joining committees.
Rochdale Hornets are a fan owned club, so I imagine their supporters are the most involved in RL. On the other hand, you have Leeds which is run by Hetherington and his team very much like any other business. High levels of customer participation doesn't necessarily mean success; put the right people into jobs, give them the trust and flexibility to perform. There's a very simple reason why most social clubs went bust years ago...enjoying a good up doesn't necessarily mean you know how to organise one!
As an aside, what is wrong with the current Supporters Trust which many of us have paid out subs to over the years?

| The Supporters Trust. and SquadBuilder group is still very much alive and kicking, fundraising for our future stars. Roger Draper has already said how much he's looking forward to taking part in the Trust's annual Quiz Night next season.
The contributions from all the Trust and SquadBuilder members are very much appreciated and they can be proud to have helped towards the development of players like Ben Currie, Joe Philbin, Rhys and Ben Evans, James Laithwaite, Kevin Penny, Gene Ormsby, Gaz O'Brien, Brad Dwyer, George and Toby King, Sam Wilde, Harvey Livett, Jack Johnson and Dec Patton, to name just the ones who were part of the 2015 squad.

| Someone who has "#RLfamily" in their signature, ensuring that I can't read any of their posts without cringing, doesn't represent me at all, so if Slaphead63 is on the committee that's a bad sign for starters.

So why is there a need to have a separate "Wire Fan Club"? Has Roger Draper explained that.
What I don't understand is why haven't people such as Slaphead been an active members of the Supporters Trust for the last few years? It provides everything that he has listed in his post above as the great things the Wire Fan Club will do already.
The fact that Roger Draper is cosying up to these self-appointed, self-styled representatives of the Warrington Supporters I do find quite distasteful and disrespectful to the hard-working representatives of the Supporters Trust and Squadbuilder. It is certainly making me think that the club doesn't give a flying fig about the £5 I have donated every month for the last 13 years (or however long Squadbuilder has been in place) and certainly ain't bothered about whether I continue to or not.

| Quote: NtW "There was no such team as Warrington Zingari in 1885. I hope that wasn't what they said??
We were originally formed in 1876 as Warrington Zingari (playing in red and black-but sure if any evidence proves whether it was hoops or stripes or what). The club dropped the Zingari for the 1876/7 season. Again I'm not sure it's clear what colours we then played in, but I believe we were NOT playing in red and black by 1878/9, as at the AGM ahead of the 1879/80 season a decision was taken to revert back to red and black (again, I don't think it's known whether they were stripes/hoops/whatever).
Historic kits are not my specific area of expertise/research (I'll get in touch with Gary Slater who is more up on this than me). Would be interested if they expanded on this last night-can anyone confirm? Other than on the badge, is there any reference to the 7 founding fathers, as I'd heard that something was going to be incorporated re these guys? I assume that the 140 years badge has been incorporated somewhere?'"
1875/76 then. I got my maths wrong. 140 years from now it was.

Yeah me also £60/year for 13 years. I would have thought that support may have been considered #hardwired enough for an invite, but alas no.

I worked abroad and could only get to games when in the UK so could not commit myself to even buying a season ticket. Sorry if that makes me a bad person? It is not just about donating a fiver a month well done for that but how do you not know I am in the trust as well? How do you know I do not spend 100 quid a time I visit the ground with lottery and first Try score etc? FYI I am nothing t do with the Fan Club but went along the other night to the forum as I am a member and have been 3 years. TBH I cannot even remember seeing any events or things for fans so the new Fan Club at leasts wants to use actual fans for things and events instead of it being a backslapping club ..................So I suggest that you get of your high horse before it takes a dump on you.

I guessed you weren't in the Supporter's Trust because you were obviously not aware of what they actually do. I now know you're not because the £5 a month is for Squadbuilder whilst the trust is something like that (if that) per year.
If you do spend a £100 per visit on lottery and first-try tickets per visit then I suggest you do visit the Squadbuilder website and look at joining that initiative as I'm sure you can afford it to assist junior development for Warrington Wolves.
Don't understand what you have been a "member" of for 3 years or what forum this vehicle organised.
Glad to hear that the people behind the Wire Fan Club want to use actual fans to organise things. Can't wait to meet these actual fans - I have obviously been associating with a bunch of phonies for the last 13 years.

| Out of interest and not a dig at Slaphead63 but who provided the mandate for this "representation" of the fan base?
Whilst I am at it, why are SqB and Supporters Trust not automatic members of the #hardwired membership?

| I don't care about anything other than what happens on the pitch. Dropping the Wolves name and lowering admission prices a bit would be my manifesto if I was gonna become a supporters rep though. Who wants to nominate me?

I think your missing the point, or maybe the other chaps point is quite right, anyway I guess what some are saying on here is why are the organisations already doing good things not given the opportunity to expand on what they do now,I may be wrong and they already have and turned it down, but this as not been mentioned,it's got nothing to do with anyone getting on high horses etc it's about having a view. What makes me laugh is this new club says there won't be any bitching, people will feel comfortable posting etc lmao.
