Strange comment, I think it could reignite his career as a SL player. He's clearly been carrying these injuries for some time, if he can get back to the player of 2/3 years a go he will be a very good player for us.
As long as we aren't talking complete knee reconstructions etc - which I don't think we are. It more seems like several injuries which means he will be able to do no training, so wont have the conditioning to play much of a part next season.

im a massive pessimist, so its quite possible.
I thought this surgery was knee reconstruction.. if its not, then he could come back and still be a decent player... lets hope so because a fit Harrison can be a decent player.

It would seem harsh to offload Harrison because of a knee reconstruction, when we have signed Mitch Dodds who is getting over two knee reconstructions.

You don't? You don't? GHF.
From I guy that virtually all season out predicted all of us on how poor our season was too.
The England experiment failed. He is little better than a championship player and a crock and if we kept him we'd still have a player little better than a championship player and he'd still be a crock.
He'd have been out before Asotasi for me.

I agreed with GHF sentiments on the other thread "where are our props" and really you would have kept Roy before England?
Asotasi ripped us off big time, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask. He only came alive when he had the plane tickets home in his mitts, yes I joined in the comedy cheering when Big Bad Roy had the ball in hand, but the South Stand roaring Come on RRRROOOYYY was gallows humour. We weren't convinced were we that the Asotasi 'experiment' was anything other than a failure and a costly one too given his rep and cap space?
Sorry I forgot it was everyone else's fault TS for not giving him the minutes that he deserved and ours as we just didn't realise how quick Roy could get to his feet. He'd be better off entering the Tour de France all that cycling on the side lines he got through whilst Chris Hill did all the work.

| Even if it is a 'knee reconstruction' which is generalised comment for a variety of things that can be done to a knee (medial and cruciate ligaments, cartilage etc) it is not the end of anyone's career. Try saying that to Danny Maguire, Jamie Peacock and footballers like Theo Walcott.
It is however a long rehab period as it takes a while for the ligaments to strengthen after a graft. But if handled properly they can heal 100% and as strong as before.

Quite right. Big Roy was a Turpin, with that being, it sadly makes my opinion of England even more damming.

How many games did you watch live over asatosi reign?? He was absolute garbage, 160,000 a year for 15 mins game time a week, England did underperform this year with injuries etc, but his brief 20 mins against st George showed he's better than championship, for sure,,
He should have started with hill as he did when we won 11 straight games that took us into top 4 playoffs,, however they went for Simms and hill which didn't work, Simms is no prop, and blinded everyone by his hair shaking and media skills which made him undropable to fair weather fans,, this year will be no different
Simms not a prop
George King no prop, England was better
Philbin developing
Dodds cashing in end of career
Ben Evans been out nearly 2 seasons
Harrison out
Westwood never a prop, last 2 yrs in out injury,
Hilly mr fantastic but will be burnt out by buisness end of season carrying rest
We are going to come unstuck again,,

I am so glad that others hold that view of Simms too.
For me a prop is a player like Morley, Carvell, Graham, Burgess, Peacock, then going back a bit Karl Harrison, Paul Anderson, Neil Cowie, Andy Platt, Kelvin Skerrett, Brian McDermott, Kevin Ward, a player that can physically dominate, intimidate an opponent, offload, high level of aggression, big hits and biff.
They would make absolute mincemeat out of the likes of George King and Simms.
This is one of the weakest Warrington packs in living memory. It's so disappointing as you can see another poor season coming a mile away.

| Dodds cashing in end of career? He's 26. Even if he was 32 and here for a payday I couldn't care less if he was quality...which he is by the way.

There are not many props available. So who would you go for?
