Quote: Magic Superbeetle "Your reading the stat wrong, it was 12 conceded by saints vs 8 conceded by Catalans. You can see this by the individual stats.

Point being all this Saints got away with murder ain't true.'"

Well in that case they need to change the legend on the RLFANS stats page then.....

I was going off the report on the SL site not the Rlfans one - but according to the SL site, Mose conceded 3, Jones conceded 3, swift 2, Percival, Burns, Wilkin and Richards 1 = 12 penalties conceded by Saints

Isnt Thomas Bosc an international halfback? Sure he was on the pitch.

He missed 20 mins of the first half.
I know because his drop goal cost me a return of at least £100 from betfred.

Not trying anything mate, like I said I didn't know the pen count and seemed to go the French way as they seemed to have a spell of getting them. I don't really care about the pen count tbh, I care about the result which was Defo in saints favour. if saints had a try dis-allowed like cats did(which wouldnt happen in a million years) and saints were on the wrong end of the penalty count (not that would happen in a million years) that miserable mick macmanus would have right lip on..cats were robbed end of

Saints had 2 tries disallowed (both by Swift) and did lose the penalty count so I'm not sure what you're on about icon_confused.gif Catalans weren't robbed, they were completely 1 dimensional. It took 30 tackles in Saints half to get over for a try, for that stat alone they didn't deserve to win.

Also RD I thought the rule was the injured player had 15 minutes to return or they were out of the game? So by that rule it can't of been 20 minutes

The clocked was stopped that many times he was off for 20 mins regardless what the official time said.
And because of that perhaps Cats did deserve the win as those 30 tackles camped deep in the Saints 20 were when they were effectively without a playmaker.

Funny enough we played virtually full season with no halfbacks last year and did the double.

We had mark Flanaghan and Paul wellens as our halfbacks for 79 mins of s grand final and won.

We had Jon Wilkin whos a second row playing at 7 on Friday worh Burns. They had international stand off Bosc and a hooker Henderson as the other halfback.

So not much in it really is there ?

You have obviously missed the point.

The difference is that when you initially start the game with limited hb choice the team ought to have already prepared for it!!
A weeks training and stand in backs, yes like Wilkin.

Catalan didn't have that scenario, it was during the game when the half the bench was already busted.

Something like Wire v Pies in the GF only not as profoundly obvious.
A game of 2 half's brought about from the eventual loosing team having a busted bench and no fit middle field director.

And as for you saying you won the GF without backs, not only as I just said that you have preparation for that scenario, you also seem to have forgotten a very significant point during that game. Let alone the fact that you only just won it.

I don't think we prepared the grand final week with lance our 6 going off less than a min in to the game.

We certainly didn't prepare to have secound row flanaghan and fullback Wello in the halves and even prop Lms in the centre either.

In the modern game players are multi skilled and have to play other positions. Some teams handle it better like saints in the final and some don't like Warrington in the final.

Hahahahaha think we had a bit more of a injury crisis than saints had and u were playing against 12 men, to say saints have more versatility than wire is deluded wen we got bridge, ratch, grix,Currie. We were smashing Wigan before Joel's injury then after ratch got taken out. Even nath browns family said it was lucky Wigan was a man down with the overlaps Wigan was making.

And what exactly do the Dire Wolves know about winning Grand Finals?
